  1. Mind-cringing DJ didnt challenge a clear off-side for the 4th goal, but challenging the 6th, where it clearly looked like Hyman cleared the crease. Bye DJ!!! This game listed literally EVERYTHING i have been saying is wrong with the club and needs fixing. They need a #1 goaltender, cause now you riding Sogaard as the #1, which he isnt ready for. They being burned with the right side in the defensive end. Chabot on the 5th goal did his job, but Pinto left the trailer, with the other no where to be found. Hamonic and Holden has to go. The oilers are just skating the puck in the defensive end without punishing them for doing so. Talbot gonna get traded. Demko is near ready to return. Time to trade and get him. People saying Chabot is an issue. Issue is going back to the horrendous trade getting rid of Demelo. They should have NEVER traded Demelo away.

  2. Bird -brain Hamonic deliberately shoved Hyman on Fosberg. What an idiot !! The Sens are now done with Sanderson and Fosberg out.

  3. Stats:

McDavid 1 Goal 1 Primary Assist (Shortie), 1 Secondary Assist (PP)

Hyman 1 Goal (Penalty Shot), 1 Secondary Assist

    McLeod 1 Goal (Shortie)

    Nuge 1 Goal (Powerplay)

Kulak 2 Primary Assists (1 Shortie)

Draisaitl 2 Primary Assist (one on PP)

    Nurse 1 Secondary Assist

    Kane 1 Secondary Assist (Shortie)

    Campbell: .897 (26/29)

    Hits: Edm 25 Ott 34

    Faceoffs: Edm 31 Ott 30

    PP: Edm 1/5 Ott 1/4

    Blocks: Edm 13 Ott 18

  4. As far as the defense with Chabot, you have to blame Dorion just as much cause Dorion is the guy who traded away the best partner for Chabot, which was Demelo. To me, if you invested in keeping Chabot, you go back to the Jets to get Demelo back, or you trade Chabot, and you take that trade to Arizona for Chychrun. People thinking you gonna get Vejmelka aswell are completely out of their mind unless you trading a 1st aswell unprotected. Chabot has not been good at 8M per for another 5 years, and Chychrun has been really good at 4.6M for another 2 years, and Chychrun is too good to be your #5. Chychrun for Chabot would have to be 1 for 1.

As far as the comments for ALfie to be head coach, thats just crazy. Why would you look to Alfie as a head coach, when a coach that has turned a young developing core in Ottawa 20 years ago turned those guys into hall of famers and jerseys retired, Jacques Martin, is still out there. I would rather have Alfie as a GM over a head coach, and he would hire Jacques Martin in a heartbeat. Problem solved for management.

As far as the thought of getting Karlsson, if the rumor is true (which I buy it as a glass half empty) and the cost is 2 firsts for Karlsson at 50% retained, I would jump on that trade. I hate trading firsts, but think about it. You get a top 4D in Karlsson back, that you traded away to get Norris and Stutzle, and the cost to get him back at 50% retention is only 2 first round picks, its another steal, and heres why. If Karlsson helps the Sens climb even 3 spots in the overall standings, and finish outside the bottom 12, those first round picks become mid-firsts no matter what. The Karlsson trade tree would look like the Sens get Karlsson at 5M per, Stutzle and Norris (should have also included Demelo if Dorion wasnt so bone-headed) at the cost of 2 mid-first round picks, who wouldnt pull the trigger on that trade? You would get Karlsson back and like Debrincat, it cost NOTHING on your roster or your prospect pool to get Karlsson back, and you pair him with Sanderson? MAkes perfect sense to me.

If Dorion did pull off those fantasy moves, can you imagine how different the defense would look like after the trade deadline and your defense looks like this:

    Chychrun / Zub
    Sanderson / Karlsson
    Kleven/ JBD
    Brannstrom as 7th.

As for those who think its best to keep Hamonic to keep helping mentor Sanderson, when Sanderson has been carrying Hamonic, imagine Hamonic out, and Karlsson slotted in. Sanderson could learn so much more, from a guy worth mentoring Sanderson in Karlsson (who will be a 3-time Norris winner after this season).

  5. They really need some bigger defenceman in certain game situations.
Like Edmunson and Meyers,Luke Schenn ,Logan Stanley and others, but big boys.6 2 and 210 to 245 or even a little tsller

  6. I have to turn this off. Hard to listen to anyone who still thinks that Brannstrom is for real or that thinks Joseph for Paul was a good trade. Brannstrom can't be moved because he's not worth anything on the trade market and it would make Dorion look bad. Joseph is a fourth line player at best and is really hurting that top line. Just like he was in Tampa he skates around really fast and doesn't do anything Paul plays top minutes with Tampa and even with a little dip recently still has 16 goals and 26 points this year.
