  1. Why speculate on such a thing in April? That is very amateur thinking. Every training camp paints a brand new picture. The slate is blank right now.

  2. Stu your sound sounds better in that room for sure ,but all accept the new guy have a squelch problem, not as much the host, turn the tone down 20 percent turn the bass up 10 percent

  9. My analysis of Slafkovsky this season is, he needed to learn not to cross center with his head down, or putting himself in vulnerable positions. He improved on that but still need to be better at protecting himself. I heard Steve Begin said that he is to shy, meaning that he is giving the puck to veterans to easy instead of doing is thing. That will improve with confidence. He backchecks a lot, he is not a Mike Hoffman. I saw him backchecking strong everytime, but then he needs to improve what to do in the defensive zone, as he looked lost many many times. As you said, being 18, new continent, new culture, new smaller rings, everybody would need time to adapt. Overall we have a strong player for the future. Slaf – Dach – Anderson like you said would be fun to try and watch!

  10. People won't like this…start both Slaf and Xhekaj in Laval giving them top minutes on the ice. Slaf half a season and Xhekaj at least a month and a half.
Xhekaj is just to work some details with op ice time.
Good to hear him say "he has nothing to prove" regarding fighting so less thinking about that and more on the game, beating his fist on a helmet and sitting in the box doesn't help his game. It's definitely entertaining but he as better things to contribute.

  11. See how Slafkovsky comes in at camp. I think its best to start in the nhl and maybe switch back and forth. Being close to St louis will help is development.

  12. Only logical choice is to send him to the A. No reason to rush the kid

  13. Slafkovksy is going to be great. Patience everyone!

Everyone loves guys who have had to work and scramble to make the league, but Evans is a borderline NHLer. He shouldn't be centering our top prospect.
