    He just stalled in his development

    He looked like he could be a decent 5/6 shutdown guy but never grew upon his first year

    It is what it is, we have another wave of D prospects coming up that hopefully do develop into solid NHLers

    The only real negative with this is our right side keeps losing players

    Important to taper the expectations for someone like him who ideally would be a 5/6 guy on the squad, but I think at this point it’ll open up the spot to a fresh face and could be a positive at the end – wish him well in Europe!

    Kinda disappointed he never really panned out. Seems like his development just kinda… Stopped. He’s one of those “Too good for the AHL, not good enough for the NHL” type of guys now
