This was easily one of the most boring playoff games I have ever seen in my life. They are playing 50/50 hockey and losing basically since the 2nd period of game 3. Other than the Hughes goal there was pretty much no excitement. I turned off the game at the end of the 2nd and am not watching the 3rd because this has been pretty much 5 periods that kind of give me the feeling I get when I watch mens league.
Been a ranger fan my whole life and this was my first playoff game. Fucking dud of a game. And a lot of “ranger fans” in my area that had no clue what was going on. Hate that I spent so much money to go
I’m confident we will bounce back.
So much garbage being posted that should go here unnoticed. Did you think this would be easy? Devil’s are a good team. I know we are a better team but damn rangers don’t know how to win in less than 7. We will win this series I just hope we don’t blow our load for Carolina.
Devils were still a little sloppy just not as sloppy as we were tonight. Can’t blame crappy ice tonight. And Schmid needs to be challenged. Barrel into the net. Oh and how about be ready for rebounds because half the time he doesn’t know where the puck is!
Road team wins every game script? I can get behind that silver lining.

Time for us to make some adjustments. Slight as they may be. I knew it wasn’t going to be easy but you opened this playoff season you said that you had to win anywhere to win the the cup. Let’s get back to that. Always a fan always trying to be positive. The negative shit gets is nowhere fast.
So when does gallant get heat for refusing to adjust? Ruff adjusted and now look where his team is at. Tied series. Power play can’t go 0/10 in games like this, they scored on what felt like every power play last year. Something needs to change.
Allow me to vent: The gap between Hughes and Lafreniere as fellow 1OAs is just so incredibly vast it actually bums me out. Very few sports-related things get to me and that is one of them. Imagine where this team would be if he was even half the player 86 is. It wasn’t a missed pick, any GM would have made it, but it just hasn’t worked out. Meanwhile the rival gets the cornerstone. Christ almighty that blows.
Watching this leafs- lightning game… are we playing a different sport entirely?
I have no clue how we can score enough to beat some of the teams in this conference.
Carolina I surprisingly feel ok about but point stands- lack of any 5v5 offensive juice whatsoever is going to be our downfall. Whether that’s this week or a month from now is the only question.

Watching the leafs have so much passion and energy win a huge game just depresses me since this team is literally the polar opposite of that.

And before anyone asks the crowd at MSG sucked tonight. Embarrassing! Definitely louder on Saturday. The goal gave them life but then the Devils sucked the soul out of the place. I had to sit in front of some Devils fans talking about how Schmid is their Igor. 🤮 Now the question is do I dare venture to the Rock for Thursday or just watch it on tv?
Just watch the maple leafs win in overtime. It was amazing seeing a team actually be able to carry the puck through the neutral zone set up for the power-play move the puck around and actually take shots on net. What a concept.

The only thing that can save us from public humiliation if we blow this series is the leafs blowing another 3-1 lead. Lol

Yeah we’re fucked. What kind of quote is that after these last two games?!
Game 3 they played well at times and could’ve won but the PP did nothing. Game 4 no effort and it showed right from Devils first goal. Kakko with effort buried that puck but he was caught standing around not crashing the net despite being 6’3. Puck goes other way and Hughes buried it.
They got off to a decent 3rd period and scored but went back to being flat. It was clear Devils were clogging up neutral zone and instead of dump and chase we tried to stick handle around them making passes no one could catch.
Mika somehow had 5 takeaways but he didn’t look engaged. Chytil had moments but his linemates didn’t help him out. Panarin,Kane and Tarasenko were not noticeable and those are the guys you lean on in this run. Kreider wasn’t great but I’ll be nice about him considering he shown up the previous 3 games.
Igor has to stop that second goal but in all fairness he kept them in the game when Nico ran into him on a excellent scoring chance. Pissed the team didn’t stand up for him but going on Pk would’ve been tough one with Devils surging at that point.
I’m sure people are angry and rightfully so but this series is now best 2 out of 3.
This team needs to take the body especially on Hughes. They got away from that and they can’t since Devils are a fast team that we can’t match but physically we should be able to take them.
Kept waiting for Trouba to hit someone and get the team going, but it never came. He’s the guy we’ve come to rely on to get this team into gear, but I didn’t see much from him tonight.

There’s a reason we never lose when we score 4+ goals, Igor has been sensational for us. Gotta give the guy more support though, as we couldn’t get any sustained offensive pressure against the Devils. Best of three coming up, boys better be ready for game 5.
Toronta was down 1-4 and they beat Tampa on OT. This is the kind of fight what is lacking from the Rangers currently. We are down by 1 goal and there is absolutely zero effort.
Props for Devils for playing better defensively but if our last 8 PPs have totally 0 goals and I am not sure if even totally 8 shots there is something wrong with the effort.
Hughes has tons of skills but our team should have also. It just doesn’t show. Hughes is all over the ice and always dangerous. Our top players are stepping on pucks and falling down.
Mika said they know what they need to do. didn’t they know what they needed to do tonight and last Saturday too and just not do it?
Seems like they just want to get it over with and go golfing. Sucks to see.
When do some of our big names step up? Kane? Zib? Fox? The guy who they said we signed for playoffs Trochek? 7 years!
Also the kids line dominates possession wise, but they need to get some shots at some point.
