I can’t listen to the audio clip yet. Is it suggesting the Avs sent Nuke to rehab?

Whatever Val is going through and whatever happens, I hope he gets the help he needs. Would love for him to be back but this is bigger than hockey.

That’s a bummer, but hockey is just a game.

Is this a confirmed source or just a rumor?

I mean, that would make sense. Since they said it wasn’t a disciplinary issue, and substance abuse is a health issue.
This is still a massive rumor, so I’ll take it with a grain of salt. But if it’s the case then he should take the time he needs to get help, and he can come back stronger. Plenty of support out there for people in this situation if they want/need it.

What is the contract ramifications if this issue cannot be resolved? I do not mean to be heartless but this would be a tone of dead cap space if Nuke cannot make it back.

The moment we got to “my sense is” I could tell that Seravalli’s just talking out his ass. Plausible, I guess, but he has no inside knowledge.

This is kind of where my mind went when I first heard of the situation, unfortunately. I was just hoping that a) it didn’t involve some crime against someone else and b) it’s something he can get help with. And losing him really sucks for the team.

K well when the Avs won’t comment about anything happening it leads to this. It’s so frustrating the way the NHL goes about it’s business. You don’t need to divulge literally everything, but at least make a statement to get out in front of it

Listening to the Fan 104.3 in Denver a few minutes ago, they reported that a 28 year old woman was taken from the hotel that the Av’s were staying at about 4 hours before the game on Saturday by an paramedics. Could this be related?

Think it’s a bit naff to even put that out there based on ‘getting the sense’
