Itā€™s almost as if nothing has been won five on five this seriesā€¦

Thatā€™s a lottttt of rangers in red

We live and die by the powerplay. First 2 games we had multiple pp goals, the last 2 games nothing.

Take of two citiesā€¦ these look bad, and I donā€™t disregard advanced stats, but we are tied and the margins of our wins vastly exceed the margins of the Devils winsā€¦ game 3 was a hairā€™s width away from going our way. Iā€™ll take a W even if the advanced 5×5 stats look terribleā€¦ after all PP is indeed part of the game.

  6. Kakko and the rest of the kid line are the only ones that can actually cycle the puck down low and thatā€™s how you score 5v5. We need a lot more sandpaper on that first and second unit. Whatever happens this year we need to think about next year and insert some beef into the team.

Often times, a team that’s way behind gets better “expected metrics.” We blew them out twice, and they had better “expected metrics” in those losses. Then we lost two “close games.”

Coaching adjustments have been everything. It’s tied because we trounced them twice and then Lindy adjusted. We have two top-30 players that haven’t really showed up yet. That SHOULD BE the difference 9 times out of 10.

If it’s not, then it’s because our assistant coach that we let go of out-coached us. That’s a bad look for GG. I would have given him one more year carte blanche before the playoffs started, but if he loses a coaches’ duel to Ruff, then I’m done…because I 100% didn’t want Ruff to stick around.

Also, obviously Kakko is NOT anywhere close to the problem. LOL
