Following a 3-game suspension, Michael Bunting was eligible to return to the Leafs lineup tonight, however Sheldon Keefe has opted to keep his winning lineup the same.
Absolutely, now is not the time for individuality! This guy have proven he can not work for the team effectively or efficiently, always drawing negative attention to himself and thus the team effort. The replacements have shown they are better suited the the team effort and the win! NOT IN THE PENALTY BOX!
I think for Bunts this is a good decision. He would be under so much pressure and "skating on eggshells" which is an impossible way to play for all players, but especially an aggressive guy like him. Barring injury, I'd sit Bunting until end of the series and then bring him back in round 2 in low pressure, bottom six role.
Its a big mistake scratching our 5th best scorer for no reason other than superstiion. Lafferty and ZAR have done basically nothing this series and Bunting should absoultly be in for one of them.
I don't think changing a line up that just win three in a row against TB and winning the last one with a big comeback would be good for them. They have to think about finishing the series that's it. Bunting will be there in the 2nd round at some point.
The Leafs are a detriment to themselves with Bunting in the lineup. The refs have a bullseye on his ass. He has to be scratched. The refs have acted completely different without him in the lineup.
Leafs are so worried about being burnt by Bunting. That they don't realize they're already playing with fire against Tampa, a team fighting for their lives. And we just did them a solid.
At least both Leaf Fans and Tampa Fans are happy that Bunting isn't playing tonight. I guess thats a win…….
