They didn’t even get a power play for this

In Game 1 of Stars and Wild series, Matt Dumba delivered a controversial hit on Joe Pavelski that started out as a 5-minute penalty, but when all was said and done, Max Domi received more PIMs on the play.

  1. Dirty hit. Its crazy that he didnt get a game miss for that. shoulder to the head, late to as all head and a super high hit.

  2. With that take you might as well rename TSN to Texas Sports Network with how bias that take was…

#1 it was shoulder to shoulder
#2 the hit being barely late is why he got 2 mins
#3 people get injured on clean hits… and you guys need to apparently deal with that.

  3. Remember there is also a penalty called, "Intent to injure", which is never called but absolutely applies here. Yeah, throw the book at Scumba, actually a pallet full of books from an airplane. Watch his hits over the years, consistently and routinely targets the head.

  4. You guys are so soft. Like honestly. Im not a fan of either team so looking at it objectively its a clean hit. Maybe a little late, but it was shoulder to shoulder. I have no idea how you can see that in normal speed and think that is "Such a late hit" and you are showing all the angles where you can clearly see that it was shoulder to shoulder and still say it was head contact. The result sucked because of hoe Pavelski landed on his head, but the hit was not malicious. It's an absolute joke that you guys think it deserved a misconduct. So incredibly soft, but I bet you'll come out with a video saying how the Bunting hit was clean and defend him and the leafs in their disgraceful showing tonight. Please become an actual hockey show. You guys are absolutely disgraceful and an absolute joke. I like your quizzes, albeit I feel like there isn't enough representation from all the teams in the league, but you guys are an absolute joke when you talk about anything else

  5. It's absolutely a dirty hit I mean he lines him up from like ten feet away he leaves his feet. And before someone says HiS FoOt Is On The IcE!!! All of his weight was going up that why the dude did a fool turn into the wall after the hit. I love big hit hockey. That's dirty not a good hit at all. And they let it go because he is not one of there Golden boys if it's the wilds best player getting hit it's a 5 and game guaranteed!

  6. Soft af take. All hits look late in slow mo, these boys are moving fast. Keep your head up bud it's the playoffs.

  7. Guess what Minnesota fans, you guys aren’t even close to the team the stars are and your players and coach know it. Get ready for a bloodbath game 2.

  8. It's not a late hit. The league has informed teams and media that .6 seconds is their cutoff.
This was .38 seconds from last shove of the puck, to contact from Dumba.
It's not late. It's not to the head. So… It's a legal, clean check?
    Yeah.

  9. Just because a hit is legal by definition of the rules doesn't always make it clean. There's tons of hits that guys could make but don't for player safety reasons. This was a malicious hit intended to hurt a defenseless player. No class or respect by Dumba

  10. Hartmans stick caught him right on the chin ( 3:55 ) . I think that's the main reason they went 2min. The hit itself was decently late and deserving of interference however, the hit wasn't a predatory play.

  11. The chick with the beard needs to learn what a shoulder to shoulder hit looks like. A hit to the head means there is actually primary contact to the head.

  12. Let's talk about Suter crosschecking into Kaprizovs kidneys. That is not legal hockey.

  13. wasnt even a penalty so stop your whining about no power play or suspension
clean as you get hit should to shoulder.
player hurt due to the fall taken tot he ice nothing more or less.
he was already inbound on the player before puck release and it was not late, plenty of later hit during this game thna this but nobody said a thing.

people complaining about how this was a dirty hit need to stop watching ice hockey and go watch NBA or some other weak minded and body sport instead.

  14. How do they justify Dumba hit and let drop the bomb on Bunting hit. Dumba stop his path and changed direction to wards Pavelski. He then hit him with a great deal of force in a upward direction leaving the ice with both feet while doing so. That is clearly intend to injury head shot.

  15. Nor should they. Clean hit to the shoulder. Nice to see that there are still NHL players who are able to make clean hits.

  16. Agree it's predatory. Keep your head up, don't stare at your shot, protect yourself, it's playoff hockey, etc… Ok but Dumba extends through the hit, does not leave his feet but come on .. he see's pav is blind to him, he knows he's going blow the guy up, and not just a bit but he can friggin level him,. Why do it? Where's the respect?

  17. People want to castrate Domi for his reaction, but, IMHO he is justified in his reaction. Domi won points in my book. The next Steve Ott in Dallas, and better at the role than Corey Perry.

  18. This is the worst take if ever seen on this channel. Clean hit, watch clips at regular speed, slow motion replays on a hit is redundant unless you are looking for point of contact. Again terrible take this time fellas.

  19. this comments section sucks ass. the hit MIGHT have been clean but either way it should have been called as interference with an injury on the play. probably no suspension but it's crazy that he didn't even get a game misconduct considering how many of those they've been handing out in that series
