  1. I can actually say after 35 years as a fan of the leafs, if they loose this series I will 100% be burning my leafs jersey and posting it on twitter. I’m so sick of these leafs players showing up sometimes. They never always give it 100% for 3 periods. Holl is not deserving of his spot and dubas gotta go after trading away most of our future picks for rentals every year. Matthew’s is going back to the USA come contract time and Willy is gonna want more money as well. No one is willing to take a team friendly short term contract to win a cup they all want 10 plus million each. We need players that show up every night and a few guys that want a cup and that will take a pay cut for a short period of time. After yah get the cup then by all means go get paid. But the leafs are to top heavy because no one is willing to take a pay cut.

  2. Tampa smells blood….honestly…Toronto seems tired and out of shape….I would really take a look at their off ice activities….Tampa will win this series….because they are professionals

  3. if the leafs really wanna win game 6, they gotta play the full damn game and not just hope for a miracle comeback within the last 10 minutes of the game, its that simple. LEAFS score. regroup play defense, get turnovers, enter tampas zone then shoot on vassy, fuck all this fancy hoo daa stick handling bs if you got a shot then shoot it

  4. It all comes down to mentality. The Leafs, from top to bottom, have a weak mentality. If you paid these guys per win and playoff runs, the would be working like a donkey climbing up a hill. Paying these people large chunks up front just kills their motivation. If they lose, they still make millions, what do fans get? Nothing. If they blow the series, I want each and every single Leaf's fan to just drop the franchise. No more tv subscriptions, no more buying merch, no more going to their games. Best way to "vote" is with your wallet.

  5. The leafs will probably lose this series now. But I’m not gonna lie, there would be something amazing about watching them beat Tampa in their house on Saturday.

  6. okey but in the end … they already win in tampa… so maybe it’s going to be magical !

  7. There is one fact ur missing about things being on Tampa's side that's Refs, Bias Refs dominance they miss at least 6 to 7 penalties a game from Tampa on us. And put us in the box for less things crazy but true..

  8. im a habs fan but i will say i think this year is different for the leafs. yes they are priming themselves to choke but their core has gotten so much sturdier with Oreilly etc

  9. I think this is a blessing in disguise. Leaf’s don’t do well with a break. And if they had a giant break between game 5 and next series – I think they lose 1-2 just getting back into the groove. I think if they win in 6 it’s perfect. A little break and be ready for the next series.

  10. I never expected them to win game 5 but it would of been nice . The pressure is indeed on them because I’m expecting them to play game 7 now and you can’t have confidence in the leafs based on their history . Hoping for the best preparing for the worse letssss goooo

  11. No worries. The only thing for the Leafs to do is to stay calm and try to do better. And it starts with Shanahan….stay calm! Dubas….stay calm! Matthews….stay calm! Marmer, Tavares, Kerfoot, Samsonov and all the defensive group…stay calm! And keep a smirk on your face. If they insult your family on the ice….stay calm and don't reply, just smile ! And maple leaf fan, stay calm!

  12. Hello there Huge Leafer fan since 65 , Me worry, Na . If they win they win they lose so be it , Ill always believe no matter what, Part of being a hockey fan as well of playing it , To my Leaf fans don't despair , Just enjoy no matter what …GO LEAFS GO

  13. saw it a bit last night, and its just gonna get worse I think (could be wrong) as they shift more and more into playing not to lose, add in vasy possibly waking up.

  14. Im terrified of going back to scotiabank for game 7. In a way it feels inevitable, and if they have to exorcise the demons, what better way than in G7. But man will it be a nervous watch

  15. FYI, home teams are 1-4 this series 🤷🏼‍♂🤷🏼‍♂🤷🏼‍♂

  16. Can't stand the leafs, but I think they will pull through. Tampa has blown 2 games in this series and I think the amount of hockey they've played is setting in.

  17. This kind of narrative surrounding the Leafs is absolutely stupid. Gut wrenching? The prevailing thought in a series where you're up 3 games to 1 is that the game 5 loss is not only expected but also easily brushed off. They outplayed the lightning who, by the way, have had so many injuries and so much player turnover that the comparison to those winning teams of the past is frivolous.

  18. this is a new team different from all the others, but with shakey goal tending you know they wont go far. I like Woll better. I dont like Holl…And give Bunts a chance.

  19. If I thought you actually had a point to make I’d watch the entire clip. Not fear mongering… with that headline? Amateur hour…really.

  20. Im a Leafs fan. Just relax guys and keep the TV off. Leafs are done. Game 5 was the game to cut the head of the snake. Now they go to Tampa and pressure is on the Leafs. Once they lose game 6 then they go back to game 7 psychologically defeated. In that state of mind, most teams lose. There's always a next time guys, it's just a sport. Let's relax and breathe.

  21. As a sens fan it truly pains me to see that the last time the leafs won a playoff series was against us

  22. No need to be terrifying. It is because Leafs still leading the series 3-2. Conversely, Lightning should be terrifying if they lost game 6 means the game is over for them. Therefore, Leafs need to find a way to get this done in game 6. I really think Leafs can do it because Leafs play very well in Florida. Let go Leafs and be ready for game 6 tonight. Go Leafs Go!

  23. It's very true that the Leafs are still leading and only have to win one versus the fact that Tampa still has to win two. I don't even think the Leafs have lost three straight this year (unless it occurred in October). It's also true that Toronto won two straight games that in years past they would have lost.

Yet, almost nobody thinks Toronto should be favoured to win this series against the battle-hardened serial-winning Lightning. Indeed, it is hard to imagine a scenario under which Toronto loses game six in loud, now very confident, Tampa, and then somehow comes out in game seven able to take control of the match and win.

For that to happen, Samsonov would have to outplay Vasilevskiy in a winner-take-all game, the Leafs third and fourth lines would have to outscore the same lines on Tampa, and the Leafs would likely have to get some calls their way, and then execute on the power play. Also, the Leafs would have to be the better team, which except for game two, and the second half of game four, they have not been.

Perhaps if Boston loses Sunday, the shock of that upset will take some of the attention away from Toronto. I also think that if Tampa does as expected and wins this series, the chances of Matthews staying here becoming even more remote.
