This is the fight where Mildenberger won his heavyweight title. it wasn’t on YouTube so I decided I would share it. there was no sound to go along with it so I put some music there
So thankful for this video of Karl Mildenberger. At the time of this fight with Amonti, Karl was the greatest German Heavyweight since Max Schmeling. His gallant stand in his 1966 fight with Ali highlighted his southpaw stance and boxing skills, it was also a testament to his courage. I would love to see other Mildenberger fights posted. The full Billy Walker fight would be a good place to start, along with the Henry Cooper fight.
Karl Mildenberger versus Henry Cooper would be another "must-see" for boxing fans of the 1960's. I always wish to see this fight because many times what sportswriters report is not exactly how the fight really went. The video of the Mildenberger-Cooper fight is one that many fans of both fighters would love to see. The fight was good and well worth posting for the fans!
