That’s the attitude of a veteran. Don’t dwell on one bad performance. He made some good stops. He made some mistakes. The defense made some good stops. The defense made some mistakes that left him open. People forget or don’t realize though. When you’re down late in a game. The defense is likely to let some things by. Trying to be overall more aggressive in the offensive zone is going to leave your defensive zone vulnerable.
Gotta go with Schmido in Game 7. He’s cold as ice!
The D left the Rangers best player completely alone in front. What did they expect? 🤷🏻♂️
It sucks the whole season comes down to one game but at least we had the extra game cushion. Have to leave everything they got out there now. LGD!

Not comparing him to Marty at all, but this reminds me of Marty in 03 against the ducks after game 6. Composed and moved on from a shit game (not that he played bad but no goalie wants that many goals against regardless).
I can see the argument for either Vanecek or Schmid, tbh- we can’t pretend like Vanecek hasn’t been clutch at times this year, but I do think Schmids overall demeanor will probably be better for a game 7
Guys have to play well in front of whoever is on net tho. Careless mistakes got them, and they have to assume the refs will call anything on the Devils, so the pk has to be ready.
