Pat Maroon with another questionable hit from behind, this time on Mark Giordano. No penalty was called on the play (he received two minutes for roughing on Auston Matthews when he was approached about this hit). Tough Call will be reviewing the incident. Have your say!

Nice embellishment
Nothing tough about that call ,a little shove !
Are you kidding? Barely hit him!
Maroons second hit from behind this series, at least this one was a penalty
Clean
Numbers no question. 2nd time this series from him- and a cross check to the back of Gios neck in a different game as well.. seems he’s looking to injure.. not just looking to be rough
Certainly not worthy of the 3 game suspension the radio announcers were calling for. Love tap on the shoulders. Gio play acted. Disappointing…Gio is one of my faves.
Clearly not a penalty. Why?
First, anyone who knows anything about cutrent hockey knows that Maroon is a hit machine. Giordano is no rookie, he knows who isnon the ice with him and more importantly, who is skating on the ice in front of him and turning towards him as the puck is played behind the net. He knows the hit is coming.
Second, the puck just left his stick, so timong isnt a factor.
Third, the ref STANDING THERE STARING AT THE BOTH OF THEM, doesn't call a damn thing.
Case dismissed. No penalty. In fact, its more likely a penalty for embellishment.
The only thing more inconsistent that the refs this year? The comments and dichotomy of opinion on similar hits. It’s almost as if people let the emotion of what team they like sway what they see.
2 minutes for boarding
Numbers but I have seen worse. Look at hits that are bad…the players don't rise and fall like that. they slither while dazed.
Yall soft as hell
Boarding. Why have referees? I guess it’s to hard for the dogs to skate.
KneeOrdano has been too slow for years…Maroon is a POS.
Didn't see anything questionable about that hit at all, it was a clean hit.
Maybe 5 and a game by Tough Call standards…but the NHL rarely calls this type of hit at all. The hit was at least partially from the side, and Gio was relatively safe against the boards already.
Absolutely embarassing that nothing was called. It's shit like this why people think the officiating is rigged
Nothing new here. It's not as if intending to injure opposing team players has never been used as a way to advance in a situation where the other team has a superior roster in terms of skill. As far as Maroon's hit, it appears there is an intent to injure Giordano. If Luke Schenn smashes Maroon the exact same way tonight in Game 6, Leafs fans will love it. I expect more borderline dirty play from TB tonight. Spoiler alert: It's going to 7 games. 😜
Clean hit
