Welp. 10+ inches of new snow at my house since yesterday. Flooded rivers. ESPN+ has very few playoff games.
Fuck.
If Florida can somehow get to the ECF, Islanders pick jumps to 17 which is all I’m left rooting for this playoffs. Fuck the Bruins and fuck the Avs

With Boston getting booted in the 1st Round… who would you say won the Bertuzzi trade?
From Boston’s perspective, there are two possible results from the trade. 1) Boston would have been knocked out in the 1st playoff round even without Bert so trading their 1st round draft didn’t improve them enough so they wasted their draft pick. 2) even though Bert is a good player and contributed to the offence, his presents knocked someone off a line which messed up the chemistry so he actually weakened the team which, again , means the draft pick was wasted.
For the Wings though, there is still potential for them to draft a player who is a difference maker with the second 1st round draft pick.
Since Boston didn’t achieve their goal with the trade and Detroit still has the ability to improve due to the trade, I have to say the Red Wings won that trade.
Lightning, Bruins, and Avs all are out, all within a day too. What a great weekend!
