Devils are worried about their goalie situation. Vitek first on ice, then schmid taking the starting goalie position during practice.
EXPLOIT THIS. They are uneasy, get pucks to the net and bodies in front. Rebounds and tip ins will happen.
If there was ever a season that the rangers have a chance to win the Cup, this is it. Tampa Bay, eliminated; Boston, eliminated; Colorado, eliminated.
If we don’t get it done past NJ tonight, this is the season that could have been, more so than 2014 when we just ran into an insanely hot Kings team.
Everyone needs to play well, and there are lots of guys who can be the hero. The guy named showtime needs to find the scoresheet. Zibby got the monkey off his back and needs to get a streak going. Fox needs to do his thing. Kreider needs to do his thing. And by god hopefully Panarin can get something going.

Gut check time. This is the game where we learn something about the character of this team. The Rangers are the better team. They are the deeper team. The Rangers should be out there with extreme confidence and bully the Devils. Meier took liberties with Shesterkin’s knee in this series. Trouba should set the tone and run over Hughes early in this game. Rangers need to play like the alpha dogs they are and not allow these little Devils pups to try and steal what belongs to them. LETS GO RANGERS!

Yesterday Game 7s were all fun and games… Today I feel sick. Hope we come out with the same grit and heart the Cats and Kraken brought. LGR. This team has everything they need to get it done.
I want physicality. I want heart. I want the defensemen to play dirty and the top lines to keep Schmid on his heels all game. And yes, I want Trouba to absolutely lay into Hughes, even if it means a penalty.

Enjoyed the G7s yesterday, obviously much more nervous here.
Igor has to be the difference.
Schmid should be the guy for the Devils, he was the best in terms of SV%, GAA and Saves Above Expected per Moneypuck for them in the regular season. He’s not perfect but he is huge and positions himself well. Hoping that we figured him out on Saturday and work to make him move, as he’s not very agile.
