You have
1 Chabot – Zub (good all around Dpair)
2 Chychrun – Branstrom (offensive zone starts)
3 Sanderson – Hamonic (Dzone starts)
1 and 3 already have chem, branny has been playing good hockey, and could grow into a bigger role with Chychrun as the more mature defenseman.
You rotate Chabot, Chychrun and Sanderson (any 2 of the 3) as needed throughout the course of the game.
Looking for 24 mins from Chabot/Chychrun
22/23 from Sanderson/ Zub
And then the last 14/16 mins from branstrom /Hamonic
(Obviously not those pairings but just usage in a given game)
Obviously a more pk heavy game or pp heavy game changes the numbers.
We need to remember the lines almost always change within a game

Derick Brassard could not have scripted a better scenario than playing his 1000th NHL game at Madison Square Garden, He becomes the 380th player in NHL history to do so. The 35 year Gatineau native has also attracted attention by begging GM Pierre Dorion to make an acquisition to help the Sens reach the playoffs after the two-game sweep of the Detroit Red Wings and Dorion comes through by acquiring Jacob Chychrun. I wonder how many people realize that the only player left from the 2017 Sens team (who was the last Ottawa team to make the playoffs) is Derick Brassard. Pierre Dorion had traded Mika Zibanejad in July 2016 to the New York Rangers for Derick Brassard who at the time was known to be a good playoff performer. Marc Methot tweeted his excitement for the trade after having played for 5 years with Brassard for the Blue Jackets. Unfortunately, Zibanejad blossomed into an elite player in New York.

If he can stay healthy this will be a huge win. The Sens play extremely gritty hockey, so…. We'll see? I'm excited to see it all coming together. I personally think DJ Smith needs to go though. Let's go Sens!!!! Chychrun/Brannstrom is the best option.

The last game I went to was Greig’s debut vs the Islanders. We all know Chabot logs crazy minutes, so obviously he’s out there with different partners at different times. I noticed several times that game that Sanderson was playing on the right with Chabot on the left. I think DJ might try that. Chabot and Sanderson, Chychrun and Zub. But obviously they gotta try different pairs in practice and see who develops chemistry

Hi ,Guys I'm so pumped now with his Chychrun trade. I believe the best "D" pairing should be Brannstrom/ Chychrun. With size in #6 and, speed with skill in #26 they should be a great duo. And, now I just got word my buddy got tickets for Saturday's game Columbus vs Ottawa. I;m really happy and pumped to see #6 first game in the Sens uniform at CTC. Go Sens Go ! Dorion is making many GMs ask themselves how the hell they didn't offer a package like the Sens did to get Chychrun. Great trade and he didn't give away the farm.

Chances are Arizona will be picking 12th with the Sens pick and Chychrun was picked 12th..if the player they pick becomes a first or second line starter for the Coyotes then the trade will have been worth it. Plus, AZ still gets two more second rounders from Ottawa. If Chychrun can't deliver in Ottawa this trade will be a huge win for the Coyotes.
