The prospect pool has the same issue the roster has and is ultimately what you could hurt the Habs the most.
Lots of depth, lack of star power. Habs really need to go for Home Runs in the 2023 draft. They don’t need more potential 3rd liners.

By far the biggest question mark is Slaf, as this model has him at 6% star potential. I’m most nervously excited about his second year as I think he has the work ethic to become something special in a couple years.

Slaf was the wrong pick in a weak draft. Should’ve traded the first OA pick last year along with other players for a star player. Slaf is another Nail…we bottomed out one year to early

Two things that strike me: With how much high end draft capita the Yotes have had by grabbing bad contracts over the past few years (9 picks in the top two rounds over the past two years!), it should be seen as a failure that they aren’t the top pool by a mile.
Tampa Bay is ahead of Vancouver. Tampa had cups while Vancouver has absolutely no idea what they’re doing.
