And somehow I think devils goalie took the one savage hit on his teammate very personal! The intensity which he went with for the puck on every shot on the net pretty much sealed the rangers faith

Bure, Gretzky, Lindros, Holik, Tarasenko, Kane, Jagr….you constantly add all the aged veterans and between those players you have zero cups. The Devils have done it the right way, very quietly getting younger and faster. Here we are, the slow Rangers with the old veterans equal a round 1 exit and it was a no show. It will be a long summer for the NYR.
The better TEAM won this series, Rangers may have had a couple of the bigger names, including goalie but the Devils tightened up and straight out worked the Rangers. Great Series. Bring on the Canes. Another team the Devils have quite the playoff history.

Unfortunately this time the Rangers are on the losing side of a Game 7. Sadly, it can be clearly seen that the Rangers allowed the success they had from last season get into their heads, and it costed them dearly in the playoffs this year. GG's to New Jersey. Wouldn't surprise me if the Rangers and Devils met in the postseason again soon. Good luck in Round 2 Devils.
