NHL Game 7 Highlights | Rangers vs. Devils – May 1, 2023



Michael McLeod’s opening goal was the eventual winner, and Akira Schmid shut the door with 31 saves as the New Jersey Devils blanked the New York Rangers 4-0 to advance to the next round.

    Rangers needed to play the way the kraken did against the Avs (also fast & skilled). Physical & finishing checks while forechecking and in D-zone to take away time & space, cause turnovers, and slow the Devils down. Obviously also other things, but that should have been the game plan and when they did it in some games they won them. Same # of games, kraken registered almost 100 more total hits.

    Seemed like HF Boards top picks were Boston, Colorado, Tampa Bay, Carolina, NYR. Only one made it out of the first round. Wonder if that was the echo chamber effect?

    Thank You NJ Devils! Any time the NY Rangers miss or get eliminated from the playoffs it's a wonderful thing.

    I had to check. We all know Panarin is a great regular season player, that constantly produces at over a point per game pace. However, in the playoffs for the Rangers he has 20 points in 30 games. This year he has been completely invisible.

    I had the Devils going all the way to the finals in my bracket prediction and this is a good start. Next they play the Canes, who are missing Svech, Teravainen, Pacioretty and their offense is really thin. The Devils should be able to pull that one off. And this is from a Canes fan.
