I mean, I can't say he's necessarily wrong. Sure, he hasn't been able to lead the bruins to a cup "as captain". But it's still a stupid way of thinking because it's literally a team sport. You can be the next Wayne Gretzky and never even win a cup. It doesn't even make sense to compare other captains like Sidney Crosby, toews etc. Let's be honest they played for stacked teams when they won their cups. Bergeron is still easily one of the best leaders in the league with his professionalism and maturity and even experience.
