Firetodd, especially rob blake after finding out we could have had tim, and zegras.
No Way he's a big reason our team improved much faster
Unfortunately he can't make them be consistent that's up to them unless Blake tells them to play the whole game or get traded
Problem with the King's it doesn't matter who's on this team they start slowly most games not sure if their lazy or what that never changes much over the years when they changed their mind set they won their first Stanley Cup
Even that year they almost lost the first series to SJ they need to build and play consistent like other teams that make the playoffs every year almost like Detroit and Pittsburgh for decades
They have a brain freeze it's all in their head no reason not to be more consistent need to stop being consistently inconsistent we've replaced all but two guys from the Cup years no reason not to be a team that plays 60 minutes I can live for awhile when their improving bit nit when they don't give the effort the whole game every game
I think it's funny when this team has a more decipline coach every time they have better seasons when they get their butts kicked they can't motivate themselves I see promise though because their young and learning quickly but they need to play the whole game if they want to win anything
I understand that the Kings wanted/believed to have a better bottom six than the Oilers, but the Oilers top 6 were almost impossible to defend so having a young struggling player like Byfield on a line trying to stop Leon and McDavid wasn't a smart move when your main goal is to advance in the playoffs.
I would get rid of Trent Yawney if the Kings can improve Defensive 5 on 5 and the penalty kill. If Clarke and Spence are planned full-time that would mean 2 starters are gone? Edler may be one of them. Gabrikov could be the second to go. I would rather keep Gabrikov and trade Walker, Roy, or Durzi to keep Gabrikov. We could trade for picks as well.
Difficult to have cap space when u give out crazy contracts to Doughty and Petersen. 16 million in total to be exact.
