  1. Start Minshew until the O-line gets its act together, let him take a beating so AR doesnt have to lol but seriously, he gonna get hit plenty runnin, dont need to let him take a beating in the pocket like Luck and end his career early. Luck was also 6'4" 240 lbs..his body held up well, for a few years…

  2. Loveeee this pick. Richardson will ONE DAY SOON be the best qb in the league. He’s a humble, quick learner, leader, AND the hardest worker. Lesgoooo can’t wait to get tickets babieeee. #fortheshoe

  3. Anthony Richardson is 20 years old. He 100% can sit a good portion of the season.

Work on his game. Get a PHD in an NFL offense. Learn from Gardner Minshew. 6-8 games into the year transition to Richardson. The goal should be to develop him for the future. The colts have some talent sure but they also have some massive issues with this roster. No answer at the positions that matter. Defensive End, Left tackle, WR, Center, right guard. I just want Anthony to make it through year 1 healthy. They honestly would be best off sucking next year for another top 10 draft pick to fix this mess.

  4. He’s not going to be superman, but there is no way he doesnt start game one. That athleticism and cannon is going to be unreal in camp. As a Colts fan, this year will be the mist anticipated in over s decade.

  5. I think you guys are polishing a turd. The bust potential for Richardson is very, very high! Let him prove himself before starting this chatter.

  6. People are complaining about his accuracy – which is 100% valid. However I’m starting to realize that his footwork needs improvement, and as footwork get better, usually so does accuracy. On top of that he’s only 20 years old and played a single season in college. His potential is nuts, especially with a head coach like Shane Steichen.

  7. Id sit him early, work in some RPO packages or goal line stuff as the weeks go by, let him get used to the game speed of the NFL before you start him. Maybe the best athlete any of Indys sports teams has ever had.

  8. The next decade of the NFL will be run by Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Lawrence, Hurts, Jackson, Caleb Williams.

  9. Jacksonville and Trevor Lawrence are the winners of this year's draft. Indy & Houston will be feeding at the bottom for the next five years. Three years under busts Richardson and Stroud and two years under their future replacements.

  10. I'm not saying he can't be great and I can see why Indy did it but drafting QBs high is a gamble when they have extensive experience. But Josh and Hurts proved if you have good coaching AND you put in the work,…it can happen.

  11. The only reason not to start him game 1 is if they think he will get discouraged and in his own head too much when he fails in the game. Don't want to ruin the kids confidence before his career really ever gets off the ground. But if they think he's going to be resilient enough to learn from those mistakes he will make early on and take them as the valuable lessons they are, then there is no reason not to play him. As a colts fan, I don't expect us to make the playoffs in his rookie year. But if he can play, get the reps, learn the speed of the game, work on his reads, then I think he will be an absolute game wrecker in year two.

  12. I agree that Anthony Richardson is that high risk high reward, at least on paper. Meet him and listen to him and talk to him and you will follow him. I am more confident that he is the chance all teams should take if they want to be great. He will shine as a leader in 2024 and beyond. 2023 might be too early. Well done Colts.

  13. Turns out having an excellent athletic player is a good move in athletics.

  14. The ability to develop him will be the something to watch. He's got all the intangibles to be "the guy".
