The Blue jackets deserve the number one pick. They haven't ever got one without trading for it and they never had some like mcdavid or mathews or mac or ovi or crosby. the type of player thats the face of the fanchise for a decade. IK that Nash was good but he's not Bedard.

As a Washington fan, if we get the number one pick Bettman was definitely involved. What way to get viewership up in the regular season than by giving Ovi a generational talent to help get him the all time goals record. As well as keeping that market hot. Would also say the same thing if the Yotes end up with the top pick.
