Clean hit through and through. Anders had his head down. He wasn't paying attention to his surroundings. Kronwall lead with his shoulders, skates on the ice when initial contact was made, Anders just lowered his head putting himself in harm's way. Injury on Anders, not Kronwall
I'm all for player safety I just wish there was a clear answer for these hits though. I'm sure kronwall will face some repercussion for the hit and I'm not sure he should, these plays happen in a fraction of a second theres no time to ease up! Eventually the league is going to create an atmosphere of negligence on the offensive players part because the defenseman depending on the time of the season is going to think well I really dont want to get suspended so I'll lay off and the forward will get away with staring at the puck or his feet like it's the first time hes ever seen them. But then there's the one instance like this you'll have kronwall who's known for destroying players and dont get me wrong I love kronwall and physical hockey. Traumatic brain injury is a real issue in many sports and it's hard to know how to deal with it in a way that doesent take away from the way the game is supposed to be played or create an atmosphere of false security your taught from a young age if your entering the opposing teams zone or leaving your own zone you have to watch out for your teammates and your own well being in just think its bullshit how the teammate only goes after the player that delivers the check after the fact how about a HEADS!!! UP!! Being belted out like it has been in the past and always should be it's not like these hits come out of nowhere 99 times out of a hundred somebody on the ice sees it before it happens the sport should create a culture where regardless of which side the warning comes from it should always be a courtesy…..ok rant over

Technically, this was a clean hit. But given that this is something Kronwall has done throughout his career, you have to wonder if he just likes hurting other players. I'm not sure it's possible to regulate this kind of behavior, but it shouldn't be celebrated. He's done this many times before and he knows it puts players in the hospital. That's exactly why he keeps doing it. He has no intention of merely separating the man from the puck. Disgraceful player. Just like Scott Stevens before him, he should enjoy a legacy that embarrasses this community.

Doesn’t matter If the head was principal point of contact, the forward put themselves in a vulnerable position. Being that I favor neither team , I can say that as an unbiased viewer there should be no suspension. It was on Lee to keep his head up and avoid the hit

Ken Daniels are great, not a homer. He is right though, Lee´s head was down in a split second Kronwall can't just stop at that speed and so close to the hit. Otherwise clean hit. Lee said it himself. I Love Anders Lee and i Love Kronwall. Hope Lee is good to go.
No suspension for this. Hitting are hockey, Kronwall´s hits are pretty vicious but it still a clean hit as always from him.
