  1. I was really hoping we’d get one of Tkachuk boys back, but getting a Brownie boy back is still pretty interesting. I’ll miss Sanford. When he’s got a feel for the puck, he’s a sniper. I don’t think he was Berube’s ideal kind of player, though. He’ll always be a champion in St.Louis.

  2. I think this trade can work well for both sides if both Sanford and Brown play up to their potential. Sanford showed flashes of brilliance at times and other times he would do stuff that would make you scratch your head. He's still pretty young, so he might do well in a bigger role in Ottawa. Brown is 23 and has a lot of size. Hopefully him coming back to the place where he grew up, he'll show why he was taken 11th overall in 2016.

  3. Just wanted to say that you continue to be all class with the new Seattle fan base. The idea of split squads is simple but going in blind could throw people off. Way to be, Shannon o7

  4. I'm kinda peeved at Ottawa's asset management. They call Brown up for 2 games at most and expected him to find his game with the little ice-time received and paring him with players like Michael Haley.

  5. lol it would absolutely ruin this guy to wear a blues jersey or give them any credit. Sens did not even come close to winning this trade.

  6. Logan doesn't seem like a fit for the Blues style, but we'll see if his dad will shut up and he can play with pace and some physicality. Oh and not get injured would also be a top priority…

  7. Shoulder injury in camp is kinda weird… They aren't doing much full contact yet, right? Otherwise that leaves it to a shooting thing…

  8. I still remember Ottawa moving up at the draft in 2016 one spot just so they knew they were getting Brown and thinking to myself they must really think highly of him.

It would seem that New Jersey won that deal after all but it also would seem like it wasn't much of a win.

  9. Pens miss the show this year Ottawa gets 4th in the division, its the who'd a thunk it for 2022

  10. Hear let me break this trade down for you guys.

Sanford makes 2 million saves the Blues a little cap space. Kostin and Neal are more than likely going to share the ice time to replace Sanford. Brown Is a piece back that could turn out to be something. I mean he Is only 23 and Sanford didn't really start showing potential until 2020. Yeah he did score a goal In the Stanley cup finals but Boston was losing 3-0 already.

  11. Good trade for both sides I believe. Blues are adding forward depth. They have James Neal in camp on PTO also. Neal hat had trick last night so he may be a great add. I’m thinking this depth will make a Vlady trade happen sooner than later. Doug Armstrong ( who by the way signed a five year extension yesterday ) knows what he is doing. LGB !!

  12. If Vrana's shoulder is a legit injury, they probably shouldn't have had him on the ice basically the same day he arrives right off of a flight.

  13. I watched Logan in that scrimmage on Saturday and he looked very unsure with the puck/low confidence. Sad cause he has potential. Ottawa might’ve mishandled him and should’ve given him some ice time- but anyhow they get a decent player back and it’s gonna take a lot for Brown to turn things around.

  14. As a die hard Sens fan, what a horrible pick that was. Not so much because of the talent but man, what a let down. The fact that Dorian traded up 1 spot to get him really rubs salt in my wounds. What a disappointment

  15. I like the deal with Ottawa senators and the Blues, one- it helps the Blues to have a another prospect with a little bit more grit and toughness and it helps there future getting pics out of it and incururge them to play him and that is what he wants in the first place

  16. The conditional pick makes no sense: shouldn't it be the other way around?

If Logan Brown plays 30 games and proves he's worth more, Ottawa gets less. But if Logan Brown doesn't and proves he's worth less, Ottawa gets more
