The Avs got ZERO goals and just one assist from all of their bottom six forwards COMBINED in seven games. Seattle won three games by one goal. That's the series right there – SEA's depth was cooking and the Avs depth was a black hole.
If we had gotten literally anything from our depth players in just one of those games, we could have made it to the next round and… gotten absolutely clowned by Dallas if we're being honest. As an Avs fan, it's been clear for a while now that this just wasn't our year. Ah well. That's hockey baby

Avs barely made the playoffs. If it wasn’t for the pacific being absolutely trash we might be looking at getting wild card

You realize the Avs set nhl record for most different lineups used this season…& were the most injured deffending champ in like 30 years? The fact they got anywhere near 109pts is incredible overachievement. While we had around 500 lost man games to injury-Dallas had like 70…THE WHOLE REGULAR SEASON! Yet we somehow won the central on the last day. Fact they blew the division is pretty ridiculous.
Give Seattle credit-they were more consistent throughout the series,& their PK was a big difference. Although they greatly benefited from the refs basically letting anything go in game 7 both ways-just when it seemed the Avs PP was finding itself. And we made life too easy on Grubauer early in the series,& allowed him to get irrational confidence-by game 6,& 7-he was so locked in. Seattle didnt deserve to win game 7-but thats hockey. Not only did we badly outplay them-but 1 of their goals was basically 99% luck. Meanwhile we get a goal called back-2 straight games. Seattle got every break in this series-but life,& hockey arent fair.And the Nichuskin deal was probably the final straw. Hockey gods pissed all over us all yr-so why would it change in these playoffs? Seattle did show a lot of poise for a young team,& they are a good team.
However,they also benefited greatly from nhl player dicipline head-George Parros-being an absolute,inconsistent POS at his job. Im not talking bout Makars suspension-I said at the time he deserved 1 game. But for Eberle to be allowed to play in game 7-was borderline criminal. His hit on Cogs (breaking his neck)-was far more dangerous,& malicious. This isnt even about Eberle-he didnt mean for that to happen,& isnt usually a dirty player. But Parros-who was a dirty thug when he played-long ago proved hes either incompotent or plays favorites. NHL "player dicipline,& safety" is an absolute joke.
Avs will be fine-they just need a lil better luck next yr-but proved again what incredible resilience they have in unfair,ridiculous circumstances basically all season long. I havent watched your video yet,cuz im pretty sure its full of shit talk,& no perspective about the injuries we dealt with this yr. So itll only make me madder to hear your uninformed nonsense.
Same kind of people who ripped Jokic,& the Nuggets for losing 1st round last yr-even though they OVERACHIEVED by winning 49 games,making the real playoffs-not play in,& battled hard with eventual champ GS,-DESPITE MISSING OUR 2ND & 3RD BEST PLAYERS ALL SEASON! If you dont factor in what each team had to deal with-you can easily get a misleading idea of what happened,or shouldve happened-as many have with the Avs this yr. Only Carolina among contenders-even remotely had to deal with crap compared to our issues. 3 of your best players out for the season is also pretty rough for them.
So I hope Mcdavid,& Drasaitil get their 1st Cup-or at least win the West,since the Oilers are the only team left in the west that I dont despise. But we got a Cup last yr,have 1 of the most talented cores in the nhl locked up,& as a Ball arena employee-Ill probably be going to a Nuggets parade soon anyways-so piss off haters-Avs proved all they needed to last yr,& this yr for different ressons.

Haha, you dink. They did well. Seattle almost did them a favor playing so hard, man did they get well into playoff mode in round one. They fought, despite not being at all ready for the playoffs compared to last year. They could have easily won game 7 and been looking good. Their depth was fine. Helm and cogs both hurt a lot. Obviously Nuke and Landy. But those names listed actually off the roster entirely were adequately replaced. No shame here in this Avs fan, next year time sucks, but you don't want to play the Avs next year.
On the bright side, the Wal*Marts hockey team did not have a hangover like the Rams! Now watch as the Walton-Kroenke machine buys the Nuggets a title, while saving the Rockies from Monfort.

The Seattle fans need to stop trolling; congrats, in your second year you squeaked past a team which damn near had 1 line this series after yet more injuries (and the Nichushkin mess, yeesh) on top of a season packed with so many injuries that for a good chunk of the season we were known as the Colorado Eagles aka our minor league affiliate due to how many of them and just random players off the street we were having to suit up, and these Kraken newbies ran into every Avs forum, board and subreddit acting like they swept the defending champs by an average score of 10-1. Between that and the dipshit Department of Player Safety suspending Makar but letting Eberle break one of our guys necks with not even a penalty (they sure swallowed their whistles for Seattle, just saying), this was going to happen if not here then the next round, even if the league didn't tip the scales a bit to make sure we were ousted and forge a clearer path for golden boy McDavid or one of the new markets they are desperate for to succeed in Seattle or Vegas. Whatever, our team will rest and recuperate and best-case scenario we get Landeskog and Nichushkin back and come back on a mission for vengeance against the Kraken and to prove we are a dynasty in the making. But if Landy can't come back, and/or Nichushkin is in a world of trouble, hopefully we can recoup the money that would be going to them against the cap and get some reinforcements, you can't punish the team for a very long-term and possibly career-ending injury and another guy who may be in criminal trouble and say that even with them gone due to circumstances you have zero control over that your cap has to be hit as if they are playing. It'll be an interesting offseason for sure.
Now Boston on the other hand…. what the hell was their excuse? 'Greatest team ever'? 'Most points'? 'Most wins'? They definitely deserve to be mocked and laughed at, with how much they were being hyped as an unstoppable juggernaut by the gag-inducing corporate scum media, they deserve a lengthy video just ripping them to shreds, cause Boston deserves to lose and lose a lot lol.
