  1. What I like about this channel is that you are both respectful, responsible and informative. Go Leafs! Go!

  2. Boys r back ! I am not happy to see illya65 go cause he worked hard to become a part of top 6 and we will lose him…. I rather trade kerfoot and bring this guy back 🙁

  3. I like Timmy …but he's totally unable to clear bodies from the net…..he's gotta work on that.

  4. Mikeyev in the playoffs was a disaster each time. Only 2 goals in two playoffs….both empty netters

  5. Robertson is already injury prone…..NHL GM's are aware of it already….so his prospect value is down a bit…..he'd be best to package with a Mrazek per se to rid the Leafs of his contract….C'mon guys, get up to speed here.

  6. Welcome back guys,,,,,its great to see you guys on the case again and producing more episodes of these Leafs Digests ,,,,,Keep Up the good works

  7. Gonna really miss Ilya! This cap sucks so bad. I get the pandemic and the JT contract really has handcuffed this team. But one thing people do not realize is they had more players who are all good come up at the same time. Auston, Mitch, Willy, Hyman, Dermott (at the time he had a lot of promise), Kasperi, Mango, Connor Brown. Not many if any have these many great to good players come up within the same year. Money and loosing players was always gonna happen. It’s a shame however.

  8. Holmberg would potentially fit in nicely. Good size and can play wing or center. Marchment Is a bit of a special circumstance he was a very late bloomer 26/27yrs before getting decent mins and putting up meaningful numbers…..

  9. I believe Dubas can improve the tem despite the cap constraints. 21/22 team better than 20/21 & that was better than 19/20. Goal issues worry me. Freddy was a disappointment in must-win games. Campbell was better & not the sole reason for the Habs collapse or the squeaked win by Tampa. I'll miss Mikheyev, (excellent D) but not at 4M (or more) aav & not much in the post season. 2 empty net goals (same game). Ufa's Aston-Reese, Helm, Cogliano, Wood (rfa unlikely to be qualified), Marchment, Blackwood & others are all bottom 6 guys with a bit of offence who all play solid D with bite. With no Marincin as 7/8th D I'm hopeful for a deeper run.

  10. Mrazek has a chronic groin issue. Repeated stints on IR last year. The Leafs should advise him to get corrective surgery (as Carolina wanted in 20/21). Rehab attempts have failed, so IR him as chronically injured. If he agrees to the procedure, obviously IR for the months long recovery. Either way, 3.8M is off the books for 22/23.

  11. Goody I'm confused. Why do you keep saying bury Mrazek but talk about him being traded? Trade him or buy him out is what I think you are trying to say. Buying him out means doubling the time you pay him but at a cheaper rate. I'd have to look again but depending on his age depends on the cost against the cap. I think it's under 26 you rid yourself of a third and over 2/3's. Regardless his term on the books becomes longer than his actual contract years left. Yes cheaper but Phil Kessel money all over again.

To bury him would mean waiving him for the purpose of sending him to the Marlies. At that point roughly 2.6 million dollars would remain on the books. That would mean the Leafs are confident enough in their team that they can play the season with an 80 million cap ceiling while the rest of the league runs with an 82.5m cap. This is definitely not ideal either.

Mrazek is tradable. Picks are recoverable. I think the only way Robertson is in this equation is if another equally talented prospect comes back.

Edit: unless you just mean throw him in on some other deal. If that's the case a 4 million dollar throw in just doesn't seem reasonable unless a big trade is going down. A real block buster Brian Burke-esque whopper of a deal. If that's the case we better be getting Keith Aulie back, that big 6 foot 4 fucking wookie in skates. That's a joke.
