SOL fans in the comments. Obviously havent watched the past 2 drafts and managed to see all the talent we have acquired not on main stream media's mock draft boards. These are the same people that hated the Hutchinson pick last year lol
LOVE THIS!
After watching some of these clips from both Gibbs and Campbell, their vision and instincts during the play stands out. And maybe we need players like that, that see the whole play and just know and go.
Hes got a motor, i can see why we wanted him.
Welcome to Mo town
Lot of people upset about this but they'll get over it.
Lions fans do love them LBs. Welcome to Detroit, JC!
I totally forgot about that pick in the Big10 championship game vs Michigan. Lol
I can’t believe they drafted this dude in the first round
Best LB in the nation
Finally a ILB with size for stopping the running game and ability to drop back in coverage.
I wanted Jalen Carter and Joey porter but I can settle with him.
he just dragged a grown man with one hand??? monster
Campbell and Rodriguez gonna be a duo to remember once it’s all said and done
we got the jack acdc
Another great pick by our GM! For those doubting, please stop, you’re not a pro and your lack of knowledge is ridiculous, this will be our anchor on the D for years to come
Probably a future defensive captain, outstanding fit for our team, & LB has been a need for last few years that I've been praying we'd address. Will pair well w/ Rodrigo. But again–i think the odds he would've been there at 34 (or possibly even 48) are very, very good. And Drew Sanders and Trenton Simpson (with 4.47 speed vs Campbell's 4.65) will still be there at 35. Again, I like the addition, just…..seems like some draft capital was left in the table taking him in Top 20. That said….I'm happy to have him in Honolulu Blue
Noah Sewell is better
All around the ball!!
Instincts and athletic talent make a good combination.
With Rodriguez, Cambell and hopefully Barnes can improve I like this. I don't understand why ya'll love Alex A. so much. Time for him to step aside
Dude looks like a player!
The negativity of Lions "fans" and media showed me why, for the past several months, I chose to ignore all sports talk radio. I leave the draft picks to the professionals. Good luck on the upcoming season.
We needed a solid LB
He looks scary good and he's all ours! In his presser all he could say was, I'm a Lion now. NO DOUBT, we got a great pick here!!
The first two years of Holmes/Campbell were about need. Now it's about the best players available for Lion wants.
Lions needed a franchise mike and we got our man
I'll never complain about picking up an Iowa defender. W pick.
Let's hope he doesn't have to play against Blake Corum in the league
I'm no lions fan. My brother is tho ( I'm a pats fan) but i am really excited that the lions got him. Honestly this was the guy i wanted us to draft if Gonzalez wasn't on the board so congrats to you guys and hopefully we both make the playoffs this year and who knows play against each other in the Bowl (i know high hopes but you never know)
Gentlemen Jack on the attack
Excellent pick up.
Ok, dude's ONLY got a minute+ worth of "highlights"?! This seems like an #MCDC pic. So, they better've had some intel on THIS guy that the rest of us DON'T have…'cuz it seems like they COULD'VE gotten him in round 2 (or later). Nevertheless, we givin' him and #BradHolmes the benefit of the doubt. #OnePride
Every draft analyst has said that Jack Campbell would have been available in the second round…Lions do what the Lions always do…
Not sure how everyone had this guy rated in 40s for prospects. I had this guy as my #2 LB overall. Glad we got him.
A shame they didn't show the 65 yd pick six at Minnesota. It was ruled that he touched the sideline, but replay showed he didn't and deserved the pick six.
The lions select the brand new Luke Kuechly, I'm so excited about this guy and Hutch Off season.
Could become the most valuable LB in the league and stay there for a while imo. Smart, makes plays everywhere and already led a defense full of future pros. Humble enough to work and learn until he earns that role in his new locker room. I think it could happen quickly. Love the pick.
I'm a Packers fan and I'm dreading going up against him twice a season. His run stopping is elite, and the Packers being a run-heavy team, he's gonna be like a brick wall playing against him. Great pick, Lions!
Love this kid!!
Lioms are getting some flak for taking him so early because of positional value but Brad said he was the next available guy on their big board and he's going to be a force in stopping the run. I would have liked to have gotten a defensive linean here as well but you can't help but love him. I don't think he would have been there at 34 for our next pick. I had said before the draft, we could trade back with both picks and ai wonder if they tried but he's by far the best linebacker in this draft
looks like this kid plays with a lot of heart…he just looks slow against other college players. the nfl players have elite athleticism and i think it was poor choice at 18. could have taken drew sanders later on, he is the same size but faster
