This would be a great pick for the Canes. He has everything we need… A guy that can crash the net and dig out those rebounds, throw some hits, plays the wing, and has a great shot.
For those who watch him regularly how legit are talks about his inconsistent play? and if true what are the reasons?
im looking at a big guy bullying amateur boys . He never pulls this off at the NHL level. He is too slow in my opinion . He also seems reckless.
Can't believe he dropped to 15 on Craig Buttons draft ranking. I predict he'll go in the top 8
This kid's skill level just takes you by surprise. He just looks like a huge, awkward tank out there, but you can still see he skates very well for his size. He still looks like he's growing into his "man body" even as big as he is now. I really like his hockey sense in the offensive end. He makes some beautiful sauce passes, he takes the puck hard to the net and uses his size to protect the puck, he has a pretty deadly wrist shot and he knows how to get to the scoring areas on the open ice. I do worry about the inconsistency issues I've been hearing, and these types of videos never show how well a player plays in his own end. But man, the size and the skill might be too much to pass up. I wouldn't mind my team (Hurricanes) taking him with the 7th pick. After the top 4 it's pretty much a crap shoot anyway.
reminds me of a jagr… great offensive skill but the ability to do what he wants with the puck, and has a great offensive instinct to his game !
have him switch teams with Michael dal Colle and see what could have happened
big talented winger with a mean streak – the quintessential power forward – he'll be a Flame at #4 by Friday evening – he's Burkie's kinda guy and Treliving wont tip his hand but I think he thinks the same way otherwise he wouldn't have signed on to be GM
the next steve bernier
Welcome to Anaheim!!
Skates like a pregnant giraffe not much to see here.
Ritchie-Getzlaf-Perry could be a big fucking line omg
Seems like he can pass the puck decently … If he can learn and develop that…. Ritchie-Getz-Perry.
That line would be unstoppable , and maybe Getz would shoot the puck more
Whooooo! Welcome to the Ducks bud, you're gonna be the future left winger on the Getz and pears line.
I didn't know much about him at first until I saw this video. Now I'm more excited to have him now than I was on draft day. But what really makes me excited about him is the possibility of him baving the fifth highest chance of any 2014 draft choice to play as an 18 year old. He probably won't IMO, but that's an exciting thought to know that his chances of making it as an 18 year old are higher than guys like Sam Bennett, jake virtanen, Haydn fleury etc. Welcome to anaheim nick. Hope u turn out great and very consistent.
He's exactly like kessel
