I understand Leafs fan not wanting McCauley anywhere near a game if Keefe is coaching. Even if there’s nothing to the rumors, it would still make me uncomfortable. That being said, it’s insane that some fans are sending death threats to his family.

Jesus that’s insane. At the end of the day it’s still just a game. Between people spitting on kids and physically assaulting others, fans really need to find a hobby or something. That being said, Wes Is a terrible official and should retire…WITHOUT death threats or anything of the like.

God, I’ve been watching hockey, football, basketball for 3 decades, and for awhile rugby, and I’ve never heard of a fan base getting this goddamn unstable that they make death threats to refs, and brigade our sub making fun of school shootings. Fucking pathetic. Especially over a nothing burger like this
