the logical winner should be Seider, he means more to the team and is by far Detroit's best D man….
Wings fan and the Calder is cool but really means nothing . whoever wins good on them .
Let's face it, the Red Wings are still rebuilding. So players like Raymond and Seider are a little disadvantaged over the other rookies. However, Raymond is still a great player, but the best overall rookie is Seider and he should win the Calder.
Raymond has been quiet, I hope he bounces back, Zegras is awesome he’s gonna win calder
To be fair to Lucas, the first line carries the Wings and half the time defence is a ball and chain
I wonder if Lucas thinks about the Calder

Raymond is consistent and produces very consistently and often , zegras is flashy and nifty is he as consistent no i give raymond the edge but zegras is closing but its all up in airs i support raymond to the end tho
Zegras gets second line minutes so he gets better matchups, keep that in mind
as a wings fan, seider is a good margin better than Raymond and zegras
Raymond plays on a weaker team with a terrible power play than Zegras. I think if you put Raymond on a stronger team even just a few slots up in the standings Raymond would be doing even better.
It seems clear to me that Raymond is a very good mishmash of play maker, sniper, and a growing two way guy……I mean do you see him back check and strip pucks!?
Attach that player profile to a line mate that is a dedicated sniper and Raymond's performance would be magic (more than it is).
Bertuzzi and more so Larkin are great line mates, but they arnt snipers or top tier forwards. On top teams Bertuzzi is a second line guy and on elite teams like FLA, TB, WSH and others Larkin is a second line guy. Raymond seems to be making those two better.
When we see the Wings strong enough to really go out and play for a playoff spot and have a productive power play I think we'll really see how complete a player Raymond is and how insane offensively he'll be

Idc if Zegras is looking amazing I just can’t stand the kid. I’m just not a fan of his boarder line childish flashy personality. He has some more maturing to do.

The Calder should go to Seider. Period. It usually takes years to develop defensemen and Seider, from day one of his rookie year, has been Detroit's best defenseman. The guy plays over 22:00 per game, the most among all rookies and is 3rd for points for all positions. He plays in every situation. You can send him on the PK, on the PP, late in the game when you need a goal, when you need to preserve a lead, etc.
I’m Montréal fans, and I remember when people things Caufield can win the Calder. God times 😢😭😭

"He loses the puck a little bit." He tried to deke and the ducks get a lucky bounce off his skate, make a nice pass across for an easy tap in.
Just remember, the winner of the Calder doesn't mean they are the best player – it means they had the best rookie season. It by no means projects the rest of their career.
i dont care about the calder anymore. its a points race… long run seider is going to make stevie y look even more like a absolute genius. at 20 dude is looking like a legit top d-man… i fear the day the wings need to pay him…

Zegras is a special player in a way that can’t just shown on the stats sheet so I’d put him over Raymond but behind Seider even though I’m a Ducks fan. But we all know the Calder is just a points race anyway so Seiders not gonna win
