I don’t know what to feel or say anymore, nothing about pain and anxiety since I started to watch leafs and become a fan living in this beautiful city. I don’t want to be negative although we are wounded but I believe that if the leafs win game 4 then we we will win it in 7.

Give Florida credit here, they didn't just appear out of nowhere. They won the President's trophy last year and were late to quality for the playoffs this year and now they are a good playoff team, with a new coach and a couple of new players designed for competing in the playoffs. The Leafs are a great regular season team. If the Stanley Cup was handed out after October and November they would have won multiple times in the last few years. There are two seasons. Regular and playoffs. You have to build a team that can qualify but then dominate in a much rougher, tougher season called the playoffs. The Leafs aren't built like that, hence attempting to bring in toughness at the deadline. The Panthers are playing a system that the Leafs can't even come close to cracking. Maurice has the players buying into and playing different systems depending on which part of the ice they are on. This is way above what the Leafs and their individualistic and selfish players could ever do or accomodate without proper coaching. They could never bring in a good coach because a few of their stars feelings would get hurt and the coach would be gone in a heartbeat. There isn't just one problem or area that needs fixing, there's many and I'm not sure it can be fixed without rebuilding. They should of never rushed the rebuild or bring in Tavares, that caused a salary fiasco and handcuffed them to too many soft players making too much money. Nothing against Johnny but that's when they should of been bringing in and drafting playoff toughness to surround Matthews, Marner and Nylander. Teams that have been down 3 games to zero have a 2% chance of coming back. I would never count out the Leafs purely because of the talent they have but this isn't the regular season.

Guys were out of there element. Too defensive mindset to the point it appeared they were even scared to try and make a play bc they were worried that it would create a scoring chance for Flor. When Marner had the puck flor had 2 guys attack …he needed help from his line. They appeared too far away from him too often. Line was not insync . Leafs did not have there legs at all….losing 1 on 1 puck battles too often. Could it be Toronto media over sells these players to the point its impossible for them to reach expectations? Can you really say these guys are "superstars"? Yes, very good players but maybe thats the problem with it here in Toronto.

Thx for the year boys. great job. The objective was to too win the cup but you succeeded in doing the bare minimum in getting out the first round. At the end of the day this core is by far the most talented and skilled team ive seen that CAN NOT get it done. They can get lots of pts in the regular season but they are incapable of elevating there game and changing for the playoffs. Its not in there DNA. Im sure Nylander, Marner, and Mathews will win a cup in their career, just not togther and definitely not here. Very unfortunate, but its the TRUTH. Offseason changes. 1. FIRE ALL HEAD OFFICE INCLUDING SHANAHON 2. FIRE SHELDON 3. FIND NEW GM 4. NEW GM BREAK UP THE CORE AND REBUILD WITH A FEW PIECES LEFT BEHIND WHICH I WOULD NT INCLUDE NYLANDER OR TAVARES. Mathews, Marner and Nylander are So Weak at Dominating Play Off Hockey, that the Only Chance the Leafs have is to Listen to Me and Bring Up your 3 Toughest Canadian Players.
Then the Leafs can Dominate the Zones and be Extremely Competitive.
the Other leafs were only looking bad because of the Lack of Competitiveness of Those Top 3 Players.
Marner might play better if he didn't have Mathews and Nylander as an Anchor in the Play Offs.
