No exaggeration I fell out of love with hockey in 2018. I still watched the Leafs for the most part and listened to a podcast but I just stopped watching as a neutral or keeping track of what else was going on. I’ve always loved the Leafs and always will but I just wasn’t finding any joy in this sport, especially with all the off ice shit happening in the league (but some of on ice stuff RE: officiating etc.) Game 6 vs Tampa honest to God was like a shot of life right into my veins when it comes to hockey. It felt like a cloud lifted. I started watching other games as a neutral again and tweeting 90000 times a day about things happening in the sport. It is SOOOOOOOOOO fucking funny that it only took like a week for all that love to go away again. What a time.
