The San Jose Sharks have played 55 games this season and are quickly running out of time, opportunity, and health to make a significant playoff push.

  1. I never had any playoff hopes this year, I really do appreciate fans that can stay positive. But I had zero expectations for this team anyway. This team is terrible just being unbiased. But hey I'm a Sharks, A's, Raiders fan born in 90' so all I have ever known is pain lol. Go Stars and Panthers, win one for Pavelski or Jumbo!

  2. This team lost its identity back in 2019, and with all the stuff surrounding Evander Kane, the persistent injuries of Mr. $11.5 million a year, the uncertainty surrounding Tomas Hertl, and bringing back Alex Stalock (which I feel just reaffirms the franchise's reliance on nostalgia and familiarity with mediocrity).

    Renouncing my Sharks fandom after 23 years of emotional support and viewing this organization as just another business has been THE best thing for my personal mental health as a sports fan.

    I do plan to attend one final Sharks game, the Panthers game on March 15th when Joe Thornton plays in San Jose for one…last….game. But after that, I want the entire organization to make SERIOUS front office changes, and that starts with replacing Doug Wilson as GM, which it seems they all-but-have. I don't know anything other than what Brodie has shared on this channel, but Wilson's absence since September is a small relief.

    I want to love this team again, but after 2019 when they lost to the Blues and then let THE born-and-bred Sharks CAPTAIN WALK in favor of overpaying for an injury-prone, past-his-prime defenseman who never truly proved himself on the team, I don't know the Sharks anymore.

  3. Burnzie will probably ask for a trade to the Stars ⭐️ Pickles could also be asked to go along with another D.
    I hope every skater is buying Big Al and his family after that very poor display. No real hunger, drive or emotion on the ice – must have already figured it’s not worth it as hard to reach the playoffs.
    Very unlucky season with injuries and COVID, especially to our good players like Mario.
    However without Doug around will Joe be able to have the same clout when it comes to being the ‘bad guy’? Maybe we need a huge overhaul from top to bottom

  4. This season has been a developmental season, with many rookies getting a break and a large lineup of players with many line combinations. Here is what I think they should do further: 1) develop more hard nosed/checking right wingers who shoot right;
    2) pick up more waivers players from other teams, especially the Stanley Cup contenders;
    3) help more players get healthy and stay healthy, I am also worried some may get affected by long covid condition and have to retire;
    4) keep Boughner as coach because he won't give up improving this young team and players like Noah Gregor and Jeff Viel continue evolving into much better players. I think Boughner just won't give up on his players and believes in them and their education in hockey.
    5) Since hockey is a superstitious sport and there will always be such traditions, I am going to say after the season (last party) the Sharks players need to visit an exorcist/Santero or shaman at midnight on a full moon and cast out the hockey demons that plagued them this season.

    Bad puck luck, questionable referee calls or missed calls, multiple freak injuries to Ferraro (deflected puck in mouth, pushed into boards) or other players, Evander Kane debacle, Doug Wilson missing the season, and missing the playoffs again. This season started well but ended mean. How could so many bad breaks happen? Their compound effect is to push the Sharks to the bottom of standings and force them into re-building boldly.
