For those that want to be angry: I present to you the draft lottery movement since 2012-2013

Note: Detroit has only been a part of the lottery from 2018-2023 and has the most negative movement with Ottawa ๐Ÿ™‚

Also didnโ€™t include teams that have either a) not been part of the lottery b) moved a total of zero, both positive and/or negative.

Thanks??? Now Iโ€™m just more angry

Rage aside, thanks for posting this. It actually challenges a few of my memories of teams that are “favored.” Buffalo for example always feels like they are getting lottery luck but I guess not.

Permission to go home, lie down and watch some TV, and rest up so my face isn’t beet red for my family photo tonight?

I thought only Detroit was -8 didnโ€™t realize Ottawa was there with us. What a shitty chart

  5. Just a big ol’ coinkydink that the biggest sports markets do the best in the lottery and some of the smallest do the worst.

Drop buddies over with Vancouver, Ottawa is new drop buddy

Fuck it, we’ll do it the hard way. Never was going to be easy, DvE.

Fuck this stupid league. Worst should pick first. End of story.

I hate this system so fucking much. There’s no transparency, the league doesn’t host the drawing live, and then expects everyone to just believe logo cards.

You know I wish the league would buy me dinner. CAUSE I LIKE TO BE WINE AND DINE BEFORE I GET FUCKED!!

Man Iโ€™m mad Iโ€™m gonna be cheering against bedard his whole career. Iโ€™d like him if he was on Columbus

Seider would be #1 pick in many years so he is our “win” in the lottery.

Hey I did the same math earlier too! Don’t forget that one year that Ottawa dropped 2 spots, they didn’t even have their own pick, effectively making them only a -6! Aren’t we having fun yet?

P.S. we have never moved up in the draft lottery.

Chicago covered up sexual assault for years, and got to keep their pick. Arizona talked to someone early and lost a pick. NJ signed a LEGAL contract and lost a pick.

It’s good for business apparently. Get two superstars at roughly the same time in a big market, lose them, get the next shiny toy.

I’m sick of this rigged draft crap (don’t forget NYR moving up to first as a playoff team)

Thank you! I just wondering this exact factoid

The fact that Edmonton is -3 is insane to me
