This season is going to be very unpredictable.
I would expect fewer goals early on at least. Some teams have not played since March last year and there has been a lot of roster shuffling on most teams. It will take time for teams to hit their stride; IMHO.
I don't envy those lines that get matched up against a Landy- Kadri- Saad line, that's going to be a bitch to play against lol. Also Burakovsky might fit so well on that first line with his ability to rip the puck
If you can get a fourth line that other teams fear to play you are well on your way to a Cup. With only 56 games the fourth line will be more important than it has been for fifty years.
Thornton should bend to the team, not the other way around.

This would be the 5th guy in the last two years, all bigger names, that want to leave Columbus. What happened to integrity for the game and loyalty to a team? Hockey players are acting more and more like the nfl or nba crybabies. Every time CBJ tries to build the prima donna’s tear it down. This team would be a threat if guys would stick around but unfortunately hockey players aren’t what they used to be.

I think a very good playoff format would be for conference play format:
12v9, 11v10 and 5v8, 6v7 in a single elimination match with the higher seed at home and the winners of the better seeded games get seeds 5 and 6 and make the playoffs and then to determine seeds 7 and 8 the losers of the upper seed play the winners of the lower seed and then start traditional playoffs.
In Divisional Formats:
3v4 and 5v6. Same style with the winner of 3v4 getting the third seed and the forth seed going to that loser vs the winner of the 5/6 game.
Reason for this other than extra TV revenue is entice doing great to not have to play these single game formats to get in during the regular year and as cool as it was in the 80s for me seeing a (16/21) good field making the playoffs and thus giving scrub teams a chance this makes it so that the worse your seeding the harder it is to get into the mix as well and when you enter the final few games of the regular year there will be many teams battling for positional seeding making that time very interesting.
This also gives the teams that don't have to play these games about a week or so off for the playoffs as the single elimination game qualifiers would be +2 and +4 days after the final regular season day and thus start the playoffs Friday if you end the regular year on a Saturday.
Teams will employ a trap much the Islanders. I don't for see high scoring games,
