Woodcroft knows that Deharnais is being targeted by fans/media, so IMO he throws him on wing with 2 defenders to help shut it down defensively and boost his overall stats.
I've heard lots of criticism about Vinnie, and things like the worst player in the NHL. He was not brought in to score 25 goals. He is one of the many tools in the box, and for a rookie he's doing pretty well. He's got 2 play off points, and is a presence on the ice. No he's no speed demon, but attacking players have to skate 40 feet to get around him. He has a place and has earned it. Oh and I'm not an Oilers fan just a hockey fan. If the Oil hit the ice like last game they should do fine.

Vinnie is doing his job. Love that guy. If all players have to be perfect and never make a mistake then no one is on the ice.
