I found the MSG footage for the first isles game I ever went to back in January 2009. I was 5 at the time. I remember Okposo scoring that goal vividly, but I noticed that for a split second, you can see the jersey number of a very special someone after the goal.
Hard to believe he’s been here 15 years. It’ll sting if they let him go this off-season.

I love Brendan Burke, but Howie will always be the voice of my childhood.
This was maybe the second game I went to live. Yann Danis had 39 saves on 40 shots that game. I got the tickets for a friend who took care of me the first time I ever got blackout drunk and vomited all over my Bill Guerin Jersey. Very nostalgic.
Edit: To the Bailey point, it really is crazy that he’s been on the team the entire time I’ve been a diehard fan, from when I was in high school to my 30s.
