Take the best player available not a position and in this year I think the centres are where it’s at. And technically they are drafting position because they need one badly
I hope someone who's seen more tape can correct me but I don't understand the yager hype. The rush scoring is good but that's about it with the offense and he hasn't taken the leap to generate more in different ways scouts had hoped going into this season. Guys like matthew wood or gracyn sawchyn have shown they have more to give after the puck enters the o zone
If either of those 2 European defenseman are available at 11, I think the Canucks have to take them. Reinbacher would be my preference, but the other guy, I believe out of Sweden, could be a steal. Trying to get a 3rd line centre in the 1st round of a draft is idiotic. You should be able to get those elsewhere. A top 4 potential D man is better than a 3rd line centre. Granted, if a potential top line forward drops to 11, I think you have to look at that as well. Again, it's about BPA. I just think a potential top pairing defenseman is more valuable than any other position, including centre. Taking a 3rd line potential centre over that is not taking the BPA.
Reinbacher is Austrian not German, Mr prospect guru
I love it when they get Cam Robinson on the show. Always my favourite ones to listen to. I hope Canucks management tunes in, too.
Who are we going to draft at 18? Oh wait never mind..I forgot that we’re buyers.
