If it ends tonight I won’t cry because it’s over, I’ll smile because it happened (we made it to round 2)

  2. leafers71

I’m going to watch because I have learnt that I kinda enjoy yelling at my TV and it’s better than watching Netflix with my girlfriend.

  3. throwaway923535

Picked up 2 tix for the game tonight for $280, they were unavailable so got a free upgrade to club level. Good sign?

  4. GoLeafsGoYYZ

Me all week after Sunday: “I’m not going to watch game 4, I don’t care anymore, what’s the point?”

Me less than 2 hours before the game starts: “I’m so nervous I feel like I’m going to throw up.”

  5. SpicyP43905

I find your lacks of faith disturbing…

  6. PhilMcCraken2001

Going golfing tomorrow morning, hoping the leaf’s won’t be joining me :/

  7. Grand-Amoeba1832

Worst outcome would be winning one or two games generating false hope. They either get swept and finally realize this isn’t the right core or they show us what we all thought they were and win 4 straight. No in between please. We need some direction!

  8. Volderon90

There used to be times when I’d be nervous but I’m not. Montreal cured me of that. In the words of Logan Roy, “If you can’t do it, fuck off!”

  9. Quiet_Recognition679

Need the big 4 to show up tonight. Toronto deserves round 3. Lets go Leafs

  10. MrCeaseBreeze

  11. EBXLBRVEKJVEOJHARTB

Love you Leafs fam, no matter what happens tonight

  12. siguel_manchez

Right, I’m going for a nap. Alarm set for midnight! This fucking team has me exhausted…

    >Once upon a time, many years ago, tragedy struck a declining rust belt city. Their last hope – a star studded stanely cup contender struck low when their star goaltender gets injured.

    >A fearful Matt Murray – neither expected to carry this load or prepared for it – walks to his locker. He could feel the weight of an room full of eyes watching him

    >But then digging through his pads, a little brass lamp was nestled in his equipment bag. How bizarre, he thought. As a joke to himself he rubbed it and said “Help me lead this team to a cup”. He suddenly felt at peace

    >And it was so. As soon as he stepped on to the ice he felt a strange power surge through him. His limbs moved with something beyond instinct – he even managed to make glove hand saves. Game after game of brilliance followed, they won the cup!

    >Young Matthew couldn’t let go of this feeling that the little lamp had something to do with it. Again he rubbed it and asked “make me an elite goaltender for a few years, at least long enough to cash in”

    >And it was so. Murray continued to have another few good seasons, and set him and his family up with generational wealth and covered himself with the glory of another Stanely Cup

    >But then the bad times came. He no longer felt the power of the lamp. He turned into swiss cheese, and was eventually run out of that rust belt town he brought the cup to twice. He moved to a sleepy town of bureaucrats where no one went to the games, hoping no one would be around to notice his poor play, but still his was ridiculed

    >Somehow, he was traded to the biggest stage in the world – Toronto! Surely this would be the time to use what he assumed, based on the established standard fo rmagical lamps, would be his last wish. But he hesitated. A magical lamp is a precious thing, and he had to think beyond himself. What if he had a sick child? What if he could solve world hunger?

    >”No”, he thought, and buried the lamp in his locker. He needed to wait for a more important task

    >A year passed, one with ups and lows for himself and his team. He started okay, but lost the confidence of the fans and coaches in the end, and found himself not only replaced as the starter, but replaced by a rookie as the backup. He was still a young man, but knew he was in the twighlight of his career

    >Injury struck – and with the team down 3-0 the rookie was faced with going in for an elimination game. This time it was Matthew who was among the roomful of eyes staring at Joseph as he walked into the room – unexpected and unprepared. Matthew paused for only a moment, then reached into his bag for the lamp.

    >”Hey Joe, catch!”

Respect to the rest of you still here, GLG!!!!

This could either be the start of something magical or the end of an era.

Players get to choose which road they wanna take.

My playoff beard hasn’t been this long in decades. I DON’T WANNA SHAVE!!!

  17. James_Man_Creamsdyke

I believe we can now say that Chris Wideman’s prophecy was false. Technically his comment was made exactly a month ago which is more than a “few weeks”.

  19. MrDavidHasselhoof

Well fellow Leafs fans, we are off to a movie. See you on the other side! GLG!

  20. LeafsRealist

    It’s my birthday.

I kind of don’t want to have it associated with the final straw that broke the shannaplan.

But if they win tonight, they better win the series. I won’t forgive them for jerking us around only to lose in the end anyways.

  21. The only thing they can do tonight is win one game. No point focusing on the deficit.

  22. FormWorker007

What’s spring without a Leafs Playoff collapse? Albeit a little late this year, I wouldn’t miss it for the world.
