  1. Over cap no pick Canucks good by it’s been a rocky 53 years . I packing up giving Canuck gear to flea market and joining Seattle Kraken

  2. Hronek trade was fine. He’s top 5th percentile D man. Beauvillier outperforming Hotvet. Chill the F* out

  3. Why is there always someone laughing off camera? On a different note, Vancouver media continues their war with the Canucks. What else is new…

  4. Myers cap will be coming off the books when hronek needs a new contract and there's no way he gets more than hughes

  5. I can't stand what Canucks management are doing to this team. In ownership's bid to sell tickets, they are losing their core audience.

  6. Drance is a commentator and not an NHL executive. Drance is very full of his own opinions without being on the inside and it is extremely annoying to hear this level of belligerence on a daily basis.

  7. tanking and coming last doesnt get u Bedard etc it gets u a 18.5% chance at Bedard… better trade than u think if he is healthy

  8. How do you know Hronek’s value is at absolute maximum?
Agree about protecting the pick, thats a very good point
Also about the timing … no reason not to do it later

  9. Hronek kills penalty’s and plays over 20 mins a night. While Seider has played far more on the PP. Hronek was 2nd on the Wings behind Larkin in points.
IMO Drance has is backwards on which Wings Dman was being sheltered. However with Edvinsson another stud RHD drafted 7th overall on the Wings set to come up to the NHL. The Wings have a loaded right hand side on the blueline and don’t need to pay contracts to maintain it overall the next few seasons. This would be my reason as to why the more costly Hronek was moved now. Great asset management by Stevie Y but this is a proven top 4 RHD for the Canucks….
Sometimes fans forget draft picks like Juolevi the supposed top dman that draft year….. lmao you don’t know what you’re gonna get with a mid first round pick or a second round pick. Sometimes you miss with high picks like Juolevi or Virtanin.

    ### end rant, love this trade!!!

  10. I'm sure Yserman had to get into a fight with allvin just to add a player into the deal. I'm confident allvin was just planning on giving away the picks for free.

  11. This Franchise is winning Bedard! I just feel it! The hockey gods will finally pay this fanbase what it deserves! It's taken a beating.

  12. Shut it drance your team the Florida Panthers who you hitched your wagon to are a mess. So why should we say you are competent. You aren't.

  13. terrible analysis.

Hronek is a RIGHT shot defenseman, rare as fuck.

I'd rather have Hronek long term than Chyckrun.

The Nuck have some talented players and didn't have their NO 1 goalie for a good stretch.

    This is a bad take.

  14. Drance is correct in that it appears clear that there is no commitment from Canucks' ownership and management to do a proper rebuild, which has been long overdue.
As such, Canucks fans should not expect any Stanley Cup contending team anytime soon.
In contrast, the Arizona Coyotes are doing a proper rebuild by collecting and stockpiling draft picks for the next four years.

  15. If you want to rebuild, you trade petey and hughes because they don't want to go through it because they'll be 30 by the time the teams ready. So instead of tearing it down now, why not give petey and hughes a chance and retool right now? If it fails then you cam rebuild anyways, give the players a chance not everything I'd about us fans.

  16. Allvin is scared to draft a dud and look bad. He's already getting heat for Lekkerimaki 9 months after the pick.

  17. Drance's act is getting old, predictable & boring… the fake outrage, ranting, raving & negativity. It's too easy to sit back and rant about how bad something is without offering real alternatives. When did Drance last win a Cup (or two)? I hope he moves on to Toronto soon!

  18. This sounds like a Benning trade. Then when this player needs to be resigned, we don't have the cap space for him. This trade is a total joke.

  19. What a bunch of dumbasses this management so what is different between these foghorns and the Benning era losers all of them I hope the Canucks stay in the bottom of the barrel for the next century they deserve to be there.

  20. We can't rebuild while we have Hughes, Pety, and Demko, not to mention the OEL contract ffs. It will take a few more years to get out of this Benning mess.

  21. Yzerman is a legend. Amazing player and probably the best GM now in the league.

  22. Thomas Drance thinks he is smarter than most General Managers in the NHL. Too bad no team will hire him to be the water boy. Oh right he couldn't handle a marketing job in Florida. He keeps crying about the Canucks salary cap space. May be he should go work in Detroit.

  23. Being a Canucks fan is so hard. Fans of the trade can rationalize it anyway you want but unbelievably management/ownership has made the same horrible mistake Benning has. Trading high draft picks/sacrificing the future for immediate help.

  24. How can you commit to a rebuild with 2 of the best young players in the league with petterson and Hughes, horvat for beauvillier hronek and raty… great trade
