Elbow to the head, left his feet, puck nowhere near him… I wouldn’t be surprised if this was what gave him the concussion.
Not very different than the hit to the head that got Bunting suspended. And was there even a penalty on the play here?

He had a more blatant hit to the head against Gio that seems to have been forgotten.
I was outraged too but then just look at the replay from TNT below the tweet – elbow doesn’t look to even make contact with the head from that angle.

Damn lucky he didn’t blow out his knee the way he went down. Win or lose, we need to be out for blood next year against them.
Principal contact was elbow to shoulder, followed by a push up towards the head.
He got a penalty for it – and in fairness you can actually see him let up before making contact.
Tkachuk plays hard, likes to mix it up a bit. Bennett is just a dirty little prick.
Bennett is a non factor without Tkachuk in the lineup. Get rid of Tkachuk and the Panthers fold.
For everyone saying “the elbow didn’t make contact” watch the previous 4 games and look at all of the hits on the ice. There were many elbows/hits to the head on players without the puck that weren’t called.
I’m not sure why Florida would want to consistently hit players in the head, besides intent to injure… but I’ve noticed a TON of hits, and keefe has called it out as well.
Cat fans will say we are being over dramatic, that we’ve had a lot of power plays in this series.. but I’d rather no power plays than have players consistently getting hit in the head.
Refs have had the whistles away in this series
