  1. You want rigging? How about the New York Rangers, miraculously picking first a few years back? They found out, while IN THE PLAYOFFS. It’s been said, that all secrets will be revealed, and this season has been odd, to say the least. The officiating has been atrocious, and what people should know, is that game rigging only requires 2-3 people. A favorable call here and there, is all you need. On another note, what does everyone expect Friedman to say? “Yeah, it’s completely rigged!” As he watches ALL of his prior access, along with his career, VANISH. Lego, how do you definitively say “it’s completely on the level, it’s not rigged.” You cannot say that with any degree of certainty. If the can deep fake ANYONE, how much does it take to rig a draft lottery?

  2. Who cares? The hawks will finally be entertaining to watch again no one cares about the ducks or jackets

  3. When you saying the Chicago Blackhawks does not deserved to win the 1rst overall draft because they just got the cup about 10 years ago. Does this mean We should give the cup to Toronto as a consolation prize for being mediocre or a choke in the last 56 years. Are They deserving it more than Vancouver or Buffalo or the Minnesota Wild.

  4. the NHL and its officiating are the biggest joke in all pro sports. We are the laughing stock of the world. OF COURSE its rigged.

  5. and why everyone knew it that Montreal or Chicago will win? I had Chicago about 75%… 20% Montreal and the rest random… they should not even have a first…

  6. Blackhawks is the most undeserving team to win the draft. They already have 3 Stanley Cups recently. And they have that SA cover up scandal that was never punished. And their GM Kyle Davidson going out there after winning the draft, smiling that Bobby Kotick smile, it just sickens me dude.

  7. Until another teams gets 4/5 1st pics like Edmonton, i will never assume anything is rigged

  8. Habs gonna trade Dach back with Caufield, Edmundson the 5th & whatever Florida's pick ends up being. To get Bedard!

  9. You do not need the first overall pick to succeed duncan keith was a second round pick.
It needs to be smart decisions to be successful. St Louis won a cup in 2019 without a first overall pick on their roster.
Also they were not good since 2016-17

  10. I don’t think it’s rigged, but Chicago never should have had the ability to make a first round pick for at least the next two drafts.

  11. My thing is everyone said he would go to Arizona but they all forgot Arizona had 2 picks it just made sense he’s go to Chicago they want to make as much money as possible off the kid and Chicago has a huge fan base it also helps cover up the SA if it wasn’t rigged they would’ve taken the pick from Chicago but that just me

  12. The lottery needs to be more transparent. That's it. That will remove all 'rigged' talk. Make it a better even than just Daly flipping cards.

  13. Hey, where was the outrage last year when the Hawks drafted? Nothing about Nazzar or Korchinski going there, but since its Canada's hero people r up in arms about it. Interesting…

  14. As a Ducks fan I don't think it was "rigged" but the look of a generational star going to a storied Original Six team, in a major US city that so many diehard fans does seem too good to be true.

  15. Hawks TANKED ! to get B>drd— they threw away Debrincat a 41 ! goal scorer; gifted Habs with Dach who will be a very good player; were not last BUT there you go! the DUCKS got screwed--AGAIN ! In 2005 they should have had Kidney Croz B but were stuffed into second– Bobby Ryan………….same old story!

  16. Why not show us the lottery in real time if its not rigged? Its so simple to disprove it but they dont..

  17. Why do journalists, whose only skill is writing, think they are the ultimate arbiter for mechanical cheating? There is a guy who can show you 4 aces, put them on the bottom of the deck, then act like he is dealing cards fairly and he will turn up 4 aces because he dealt himself from the bottom. All while you are looking right at the deck. And you will never see it. So don't tell me Friedman was there. Portzline was there. blah blah blah. Like a bunch of pencil sharpeners know anything about this stuff. They are big a bunch of suckers as anybody

  18. I dont think the drafts rigged but the hawks def should ahev gotten like 3 first rounders taken away as a hawks fan but the league favors us ig

  19. As a Detroit red wings fan watching them suck it up with the most losses during I think the last 5-6 years and all we have to show for it are out of the lottery top 3 draft picks is pathetic as all heck.

  20. Cheaters like Cheaters. For example- the NHL had Ernst and Young at the draft to make sure the draft was honest. Did you know that Ernst and Young had a $100M fine leveled on them last year because their employees were cheating on their ethics exams. Why would the NHL employ a firm hit with a big cheating fine to vouch that their draft was a fair draft? Maybe it is because the NHL is cheating?

  21. Its rigged just like the games bread and circuses and you all cheer it on while the country on its way to bankrupcy well enjoy it while it ladts people

  22. I do think if it was actually rigged, they would likely have put their thumb on the scale for Arizona (who they're desperately trying to drum up excitement for the new arena plans) or have him in the LA market of Anaheim. I don't think they would rig it for the team they surely knew would get the most vitirol for winning the lottery, I think it's mainly a question whether or not they even deserved to be in the process in the first place considering they got no draft penalties (unless I'm mistaken?) after the scandal broke out. All I say I still hope for the best Bedard, it sucks he's probably going to be heavily booed around the league early on just by association.

  23. The other thing with Chicago is that the NHL has recently penalized a couple of teams first round picks for bad behavior that is far less than the sexual assault coverup displayed by Blackhawks management and ownership. Why take other teams first rounders for pre draft workouts but let a O6 team in a huge TV market that makes the NHL lots of money keep their 1st rounder for a far worse offense? Because the plan to rig Bedard to the Chicago market was a real thing.

  24. Just the fact that such an unpopular choice like Chicago wins the draft lottery strongly suggests that the lottery is NOT rigged by itself.

  25. Comforting to see so many people were actually concerned about Kyle Beach, and not just because they’re mad about where they found out a player will end up a few days ago…

  26. you don't have to have an outright rigged draft year after year, to attempt to weight the odds for a generational talent.
its a 40/60 – politics and banking at the top.
he landed in the largest market with the most potential variable growth for the league.

it wouldn't be a feat to or take a large circle to achieve a some kind of shift in the odds. there is so much slight of hand that can happen on the algorithm side, before you have to do anything physical.
