REPORT: Interest In “Potential Reunion” Between Ben Jones & New York Jets Coaches



According to Brian Costello and Connor Hughes, Ben Jones is a name to watch for Joe Douglas and the New York Jets. Jones is a veteran and was just released from the Titans a few weeks ago. If we project Aaron Rodgers to the Jets, it’s important to get a center that gels with him in both pre and post snap. Also, Jones has familairty working with Todd Downing and Keith Carter.     Stack this O line as much as possible. One of our biggest problems since the end of the mangold/dbrick era. Add a healthy avt and becton with these new guys it could be awesome

    We keep having interest in players but not signing anyone. There's reports our O-line coach is a douche we don't know if Ben Jones wants to play for him again

    Jones was released with the designation "Failed Physical". I'd be very wary of his physical condition given his history of concussions. I'd prefer the Jets go after Billy Turner or resign McGovern.

    Ben Jones would be a solid signing no doubt but if Kevin Byard gets released and we sign him, our secondary would literally be the best in football

    I find it funny how we have not restructred Mosley, lawson, and released Corey Davis and Whitehead yet. Something is definitely in the works with those players, maybe moving Lawson to the packers. Do not be shocked if that happens.

    Jets should sign Ben Jones. They have two IOL that could also play center as depth pieces. They should also draft a center. They could probably get one in the fourth or fifth round.

    Is Mcgovern still a free agent? What is the pass protection going to be like with Jones, as opposed to Mcgovern? I just hope the Jets will give Rodgers enough pass protection to keep him upright and injury free at his age.

    Would love to grab him and draft Luke Wypler in the 3rd round. Would also love John Michael Schmitz but he’s probably too NFL-ready to sit behind Jones and he will probably go early in the 2nd round and I’m assuming our 2nd will belong to GB come draft time. Not to mention Wypler being a Jets and Nick Mangold fan growing up.
