Okay, okay. To be fair, this whole "we want Florida" thing was a bunch of teenagers chanting it and celebrating outside the arena and having a good, and probably substance fueled, time. They also were videoed chanting "we want Boston" too, but obviously that isn't shoved down our throats for obvious reasons. Let's put it in perspective; all fan bases have younger people – and all ages of people having a good time when they win a series and that's all that was. It isn't like the entire Leaf fan base was adopting "we want Florida" as their war cry. Let's put it to bed; it was a bunch of very young people having a good time. Now, I want to congratulate the Panthers and wish them good luck against Carolina. They'll need it, but also, it should be a HELL of a series.
I'm not even a Leafs fan, but the now legendary NHL officiating screwed them out of this game. Should have been 3-2 in regulation. I'm glad that the Panthers beat the Bruins, but I hope this is the last playoff victory they get to celebrate.
