  1. Should miss a game at least, but won't miss shit cause missing out on marketing Crosby is too big of a risk for a Canadianless NHL playoffs.

  2. Should have been a 2-4 minute penalty for an unintentional slash or high stick. watch the slow motion segment of the video. watch his feet, he is clearly of balance. watch his left arm it clearly makes contact with the boards and cause his body to jerk left and the stick, which was clearly to high (warranting a penalty) swings around due to the motion of his body.

  3. Rulebook: If any player on the ice kills a New York Ranger, he shall incur a $50 fine and a one period suspension.

  4. The NHL Players Safety is a fecking joke …This was a for sure a Susp …Game 2 Boarding no call Game 3 Baseball swing to the face No call …I wonder what Game 4 will look like and will Players Safety take full responsibility when someone ends up on the hospital cause they had a chance to send a message that this will not be tolerated and failed

  5. I don't know. I've watched it about 30 times now. And attempted hundreds of clearing attempts all the same in my time playing hockey. Not once did my follow through suddenly reverse direction and "get hung up on the boards" while slashing a guy in the face. This is either seriously poor form and completely trying to avoid body contact or a flagrant "crime of passion/in the heat of the moment" slash. I'm gonna go with the latter.

  6. No discipline? The NHL is so painfully inconsistent. What if it was Crosby being decapitated? I'm sure they would dish out 40 games. Fucking joke.

  7. for everyone thinking the butt of the stick 'got caught in the boards' letang's hand is to the butt of the stick. 100% intentional.

  8. Letang should lose a few games to this. But nope. What happened to "always having your stick under control"? Classy Pens announcers too, as usual.

  9. Obviously the end of his stick hit the boards and his weight flung the stick. It is a penalty for not being in control of stick but he didn't hit him on purpose. He looked back afterwards. I have seen enough cheap shots to recognize how a player behaves after he delivers one. Letang was clueless there.

  10. Look at Letangs feet in slow motion. he's off balance and has no where to go. there was nothing else he could have done with the stick there

  11. Letang has always been a piece of shit and the refs have always protected the Pens. It baffles me that he got nothing for it. If that's not an intentional slash in the face, I don't know what is. Letang has a history of dirty plays. This guy needs at least 10 games.

  12. Oh please, almost decapitated? That was an insane slash but almost decapitated is too much for a description. Sensationalism strikes again.

  13. Nothing on that check caused Letang to swing his stick like that. It was completely voluntary. The league blew this big time. If that was crybaby Crosby, he'd be convulsing on the ice and the league with have handed down significant suspensions.

  14. Hopefully LeTang has another stroke and this times bleeds out on the ice. Notice the French Canadian in charge of players safety , Stephan Quintal, never issues suspensions to French Canadian Players. THIS is such a garage league!!! And Bettman is too busy wiping his mouth of Sidneys jizm!

  15. Watched this over and over… At first glance seems obviously malicious. But as he is being driven into the boards his left hand (and end of stick) make contact with the boards. If his left hand stops as it is pinched between the boards and his torso, the other end of the stick will be whipped around as seen. A top down angle would clear this up but I don't think it was malicious. And noone can definitively say either way using this camera angle alone.

  16. Easy to judge intend, especially in slow motion. Watch his feet as he is tripped up just before the stick makes contact. Also ignore the slow-mo and watch the first few seconds of the video in real time. Watching in real time and knowing Letang, I don't think there was intent. But he probably still should have gotten a suspension, since players are responsible for controlling their stick. call it gross negligence.

  17. I just noticed that the video is briefly sped up just before the stick hits Stalberg. Makes it look more like an intentional attack. I'll reiterate, I try to judge watching videos in realtime, not the super slow motion.

  18. This is 100% Moorg's fault. He slams into Letang's right side, forcing him to turn back with his stick up in the air. He could not of even lowered his sick due to Moorg's leg. The only way this could have been avoided, is if somehow Letang had thought to raise the stick even higher.

  19. what joke this is i cant believe the NHL let this slide u can see he jerked his stick right into stalbergs face!quintal your a fkn joke

  20. "Decapitate"? No,..come on. Slapped him in the face/neck with this stick clearly on purpose,…yes. Should have been suspended for a few games definitely.

  21. I hate both teams, but that was similar to when Chris Simon slashed Ryan Hollweg. How Letang wasn't suspended just goes to show how the NHL coddles the Penguins.

  22. I'm a die hard Penguins fan but this is just wrong and shouldn't be in the league. he deserves a 3 game suspension and a hefty fine
