Carey Price is too cool to be a head coach. I cannot picture him losing it on a ref or rival head coach. I think he'd be a good GM or goalie coach.
The Habs are cursed ever since Houle and Tremblay combined to banish Roy.
It is odd because Houle bailed on the Habs many years ago to play in the WHA so yeah some loyal player he was.
Well it has been a never ending sage of really bad things to come from terrible draft picks poor contracts bad trades like giving up a first round pick for DACH …lol really stupid.
This actually began long ago it really seems like most bad things happen to the Habs because of crappy management and coaching.This team low balled Guy lafleur with a slap in the face contract offer to be a scout rumor was 50k a year.
Even the record setting HOF'r Patrick Roy had a tough team making the team he was sent to the minors but that worked out for the farm team that won it all.The next year it took injuries to get Roy into the lineup and all he did was go on to the youngest Conn Smythe winner and set records left and right.
Without even thinking of the long history that I have been alive to witness I just knew this teams woes was because of garbage management and coaching and imo like many other people shared the same opinion it was because the team was too worried about french speaking so yeah idiocy left right and center.
Sooooooooo I fully EXPECT to see something dumb happen in this drat just like last year i DID not endorse Slavkovsky at all I had him more like a second rounder and only MAYBE I didn't even like him at all and still don't.
Know why the Habs got Cole NOT because the yare smart scouting or managing it is because I called it I said teams would pass on him because he was too small and played small so he dropped down the ratings far below where he should have so the Habs were GIFTED an easy selection.
I want to see something positive out of BOTH management and coaching and so far management has been very hit n miss and coaching has been pretty much non existent but I do "get it"and HOPE I know the WHY which leads to giving these guys a FAIR shake maybe 3 years?
I mean I had to endure 30 years of debauchery I can surely wait another 3-4 …or can I?
As to the WHY and St.Louis well I think and hope it is because these are young players and doesn't want to put any pressure or create and riffs during the first year of a rebuilding program.If THAT is the reason fine I am ok with some positivity but if it is simply because he doesn't know how to coach a BIG difference from being a player then we are in trouble.
Yo usee where I stand on this is that these young players NEED coaching sure you don't want an angry dressing room or tons of pressure but at least teach them to play prooerly because after an 82 game season it was same old same old new faces exact same play style.I don't care if the team wins a single game all year so long I see they are learning or TRYING to play a proper structure defensively and offensively and understanding how to step up in the neutral zone.Know what I see EVERY single game a SLOPPY non organized mess VERY much like the way the Blues play go figure>>>St,Louis and St.louis hmmm a sloppy team and a sloppy coach.
Here is how I would do this draft.If Smith and Carlsson are gone then I still have to consider Mitchkov even if you hold onto him as a bargaining chip.Can you imagine if Mitchkov puts up big numbers in Russia this year his value would sky rocket.
Know what team I would be targeting >>>WASHINGTON.I feel the caps are going to slide badly over the next few years so I would be trying to get their first round picks.
