Please tell me where you find these jerseys from some of the trade thumbnails, can’t find any photos to save my life.
Zacha is usually on Hischers wing
3 firsts no less
I don’t want garland being traded
For Motte
For Pearson
zacha, 2022 1st (top 3 protected) and mukhamadullian for garland
Btw lego , when you want a player you hold no leverage XD thats how it works
Bruh, if we trade Garland then all we have is a shitty 6 year OEL contract…thanks Canucks.
Boeser, only another power play goal, the only way you can score is power play or empty netter. Not five on five. Doesn’t kill penalties, doesn’t dig for the puck, won’t stand up for his team mates. So petrified of getting hit so whenever he hears a pair of skates coming towards him,he dumps the puck into nowhere land or “accidentally” loses it directly to the other teams stick..But he’s got great hair though as well as an awesome Paycheck ,which he produces nothing for. But the Canucks still love you and call you the SNIPER. 🤣
Garland for Zacha would be the dumbest trade i have ever heard of. Garland can play, Zacha can't. You would have to be a moron to make that trade. Zacha needs a contract, Garland doesn't. Zacha can't play without the puck and is not consistent. Just more crappy players for a good players nonsense rumors. They do have to deal with the elephant in the room, Boeser's 7.5 qualifying offer. Pretty hard to get cap space they say they want until they deal with that pachyderm.
I would love to get Luke Hughes in any way possible
I like this trade for the caucuks, it makes sense garland is older an I don't see him being a long term part of our team. but a young power forward who isn't a wuss like most of the Canucks ill take any day. who knows what hw can develop into.
Kid has size can play centre to 22 points ain’t to bad either potential for sure
hughes for hughes
Trade boeser
Man i love hearing all of these rumors of young and affordable talent.
The Canucks are looking into it shows me that a retool is coming.
and that Management are exploring all of their options
before pulling the trigger on any type of trade. This deadline
will be a welcomed one for the first time in years on this end GCG.
Garland is 25. Zacha is 24. So basically, it would be a downgrade. Unless Zacha pulls a Cam Neely and suddenly becomes a productive Top 6 forward for us, I don't see how that trade works at all for the Canucks. If he were 22 or 21, I might have a different opinion, but if you're trading a 25 year old player who can do a lot of different things, asking for a younger player who is seen as a bust in return and hoping he'll revive his career isn't great cap management either and he won't be much cheaper under the cap going forward than Garland. I'm not on the Keep Garland At All Costs Bandwagon either, but the return has to be someone who can help the Canucks 2, 3 and 4 years down the road become a consistent Cup contender. The ultimate goal isn't to make the playoffs – it's to win the Stanley Cup. I'll take 5 years of missing the playoffs (we've done that already) if it means 1 Stanley Cup parade down Robson Street. What worries me is that we're doing exactly what we did in 2012 and 2013. Instead of looking at the team objectively and trying to find ways of working towards getting back to the Finals (even if it's a few years down the road), we tried to go all in just to make the playoffs again and failed miserably. Miller is great, Garland is great, why do we want to trade them? Well, maybe it's because they're a waste. Any great season that doesn't at least end with a Finals appearance is a waste unless you're working towards that goal. It seems like too many people, including management for years have just wanted to get us to a point where we're mediocre now rather than bad, sacrificing a future chance at a championship. Wendel Clark was a great player in his day and even in 1996, you'd think the Avs would have been mad to trade him. Yeah, that was the year they won the Cup. One player does not a team make.
Reclamation projects are often an exchange of hostages. Both teams trying to dump a guy that has underperformed and thinking the change of scenery for their return player will be a game changer; literally! I don't know the stats on how it works out, but I'd say maybe 25-30% of players actually turn their careers around. That might even be too high a percentage. Every situation is different, but I know we need to get cheaper, faster and younger. Our priority needs to be a top 2 RHD.
boeser vs zacha canucks cant afford brock next year
Crazy mock trade here:
To Canucks: Pavel Zacha, Alexander Holtz, P.K. Subban (25% retained) & a 2023 first round pick.
To Devils: Brock Boeser & Connor Garland.
Edit: Feel free to edit my mock trade.
If it takes much more than Zacha & a 2nd for Garland, I just don't see it. Garland is good but it is an off year for him. If he was lighting it up, sure; but now people question if he can only produce in certain situations/teams. So he isn't a homerun by any stretch. Like the people who are saying Zacha, a top prospect, and a 1st are out of their minds; that is what people ask for top teir players. The difference between those guys is not that vast
Zacha is the last player from the devils we should want
Garland 39P 49GP 26P 44GP
Zacha 35P 50GP 23P 46GP
You’re acting like they’re completely different players and saying the devils need to add a 1st and another top tier asset like there is actually no way you’re serious about that has to be an absolute troll
Zacha + 1st for pettersson
Luke Hughes > Cale Makar
I love garland he’s young he’s cheap and he produces don’t get why you would move him
Man.. Garland has been an absolute beast with the puck, he’s that “Marchand” type player, love that he’s on a cheap contract too, he’s a pest who knows how to produce points, although he’s been inconsistent. Love me some Garland baby!
No they don't. He's another of those big body underachievers. His compete level is questionable. Talk to Jersey fans, some are patient for him to come around and many say he's not hungry enough…..Virtanen again?
Zacha, new jersey devils 2nd round pick, and a prospect like foote for garland
i'd take him. He's still young and he's better than Dickinson and Pearson
I wouldn't trade Garland for Zacha. Brock…maybe. Brock isn't worth more than his current pay and definately not 7+ mil a season. Brock disappears come playoff time.
