Honestly, it’s been…interesting…watching how even r/hockey has turned around on us somewhat.

You guys beating Deadmonton was my personal Stanley Cup.
However, I always make a point to cheer for teams that have never won the Cup before, so I’d be happy to see you guys get your first.
As the years go by, having a Cup win in your franchise’s history is huge in building the lore and legacy of the franchise. The Flames’ 1989 cup stands large in the fanbases’ view of the team, despite the fact that a lot of us weren’t even born when they won it.
