Hey Gil – So my thoughts on this before even seeing the video is Yes this line should be retired from the Isles. Of course you can't just retire guys who don't wanna stop playing but for the amount of time that each guy Czikas, Clutterbuck and Martin are out hurt or injured do they really even have a full time line and the answer is no but that being said this line is costing us double any other line on the team because for each guy there has to be a counterpart being paid just in case of injuries and those guys I'm sure want to play and I believe it's their time to get a shot. I think that the team can't afford to have a checking line only and the Isles need to get younger and faster to compete in this league and if they can find a way to move on from Clutterbuck and Martin I'd like to see them slot Ross Johnston into a wing to be Centered by Casey and either use Fashing in that other wing or get a guy with some skill like a Miles Wood type player maybe Max Domi or if the price is to high someone comparable. But our Identity line can't be a group of Older, slower and often injured players but instead Younger, faster more skilled and balanced. As far as Romanov he took a little extra time to adjust to a new team and he was slowed by an unfortunate injury but I believe he provides some much needed Boom from the backend and if used properly he will get better next year. Also having a D-man who is Russian and can communicate with both Sorokin and Varly in Russian during the game can hide a reverse or stretch pass command from the Goalie from our opponents which is a plus All in All he cost us a pick but will prove worth it.
