  1. Hopfully I'm wrong, but he sounds like he wants to squeeze every penny he can out of next contract or he would be saying he would LOVE to stay a Leaf. He is a GREAT player but not at the same money he was making or even close!!..3.5 – 4 mill tops or it's an overpayment, Sadly I don't see him taking a deal to stay a Leaf!! Again, hopfully I'm WRONG!!

  2. if we can some how get rid of the contracts of Tavares, Murray, Holl, and Kerfoot …. That alone would free up 20 million… Imagine what we could do with that money!!!! We could bring in 2 top D-men and a couple depth forwards who know how to play playoff hockey.

  3. Thanks for a great 3 months Ryan. I don’t think he wants anything to do with the leafs after he witnessed this first hand v

  4. If yo work at McDonald’s for 50k but could go to Wendy’s for 65k what would you do. Players will max their earnings. And because the leafs have tied up so much money in the core, they can’t afford to compete in the open market for quality players. It started two years ago with Hyman. Hometown discount is a pipe dream. This is your leaf blueprint. Top heavy with talent unwilling to do what is necessary to win, not enough cash left for strategic role players.

  5. Hes going back to stl, hes a good player but he will only slow down in 1 to 2yr hes 32yr old. Not worth the $4m to $6m he will get.

  6. hmmm… typical answer from someone who can't wait to get out the door, and I can't blame him.
If I were a betting man, I put money on it being RoR who called out Marner after Game 3.

  7. This guy comes from GREAT stock!! Salt of the earth type of people! I wish him and his family NOTHING but the best in life!

  8. Everybody is laughin at canada today. 30 years since a canadian team has won the cup. lets keep it goin !

  9. Toronto had Simmonds and Clifford at their disposal for a game or two to establish a tit for tat. It was not recognized, therefore, it's the coach who is responsible. Coach change is needed for the future.

  10. I hope they can somehow make it work to keep ROR. Need more of players like him with heart and grit to move on.

  11. Thank you for everything boys hell of season I hope that we resign Ryan or reiley he is s great player

  12. Ryan you have NOTHING to apologize for! You played your ass off and to me you were by far the strongest forward on the team. You were grinding and fighting on every shift. Its no wonder you won a cup. I wish you all the best. I would love it if you stayed in T.O but if not, thank you for all you did and best of luck

  13. Think ROR is the only Leaf that talked hockey strategy and what they could've done better against the Cats. The core only talked about their contracts and wanting to stay together…

  14. Ryan O'Reilly great attitude and team player. If I was Leafs GM I would try and bring him back for at least 2 or 3 more seasons for what he brings to the table, every game he out there looking for scoring chances for himself or others.

  15. Teams too soft ….he knows what wins championships…why do you think foligno moved on to go to boston …thats a dangerous team ..he knows matthews and. Marner can lead …your best players have to be your best players
